The subject of postcards! I have fallen in love with the good old fashioned postcard! I keep a journal and have started buying postcards! To represent places I have visited! I have also invested in an instant camera! I fill pockets with loveliness! Carparking tickets record the day ...No words needed!

Wow these are great. I’ve never thought about looking for envelopes online. Loving the big windows on some of them. I would take the stamps off just use the card as is and add to to or make a journaling card or tag. Grunge it up. As Luise would do haha🤣😆😄

Love love love!! I hope you’ll teach us how to make these interesting envelopes!! I know it doesn’t look hard, but I don’t know how! That little guy, then the first one that folded out (I think Tel Aviv) into a whole page, the condolence letter had an interesting fold then a flip and flap! Just loved it! If you were ever willing to, I would love to see that in a tutorial!! so much fun, hearing how excited you are! I am too! ❤❤❤

Hi my name is Trinka I discovered junk journaling. I have always loved crafting and I have found it has given me something to feel good about myself again. It is quite expensive but I have found a lot of my own Grandparents postcards,letters, old birthday cards Mother’s Day I am having trouble getting ink, different papers and all the other cool stuff. You were one of the first people I started watching. You have inspired my crafting I me again I want to thank you it really came at a time I needed something. I want some Tim Holtz things I know I will get there I am impatient with certain things I enjoy watching you and everybody on you tube. I am trying to learn how to use my printer my son is going to try to figure it out for me. I just learned how to message you LOL 😀

What a box of surprises. Well worth what you paid if not more. You are always lucky with your purchases. What I need to say you are very brave to lock your fingers to open an envelope, you just no idea what’s on them. Maybe I am a of a germaphobe .

If my memory is correct. Sandra Dee was married to Bobby Darin. Big stars in the 40-50’s. Teen idols.

I was excited for your treasures. The old letters are a treasure for sure. You can use the postcards for tags and journal cards, just cover them with papers or collage over them. Thank you so much for sharing your treasures Margreth. 🙂❤️

Thank you for always taking the time to answer my questions. I get so excited going through boxes like these. I treat myself every once in a while with an estate sale box from EBay. The last one was 10lbs. Not disappointed. I was like a little girl in a candy store. The little treasures you find. Even buying books at Goodwill. I always flip through the pages for treasures that the owners have placed inside. I didn’t know you could buy and have them shipped from FB Marketplace. Thank you for the new idea.☺️

Oh Margreth you are so very lucky. I've never seen anything like this box of treasures and such anywhere available around here in Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada. Finding some as simple as a stamp and envelope collector that would collect such things as envelopes or letters, i think should be very rare in at least this part of Canada. Do you think you can scan anything and put it on your Ko-fi site? My sister and her husband drove down from northern Ontario Canada came down for a visit in their motorhome and parked at my mom's house. I believe that she slept in the house while her husband just stayed in the Motorhome. My almost 91 year old mom is in an extended care home but with my sister there, she arranged for her to come home for a few hours quite a few times. While she was home, i came to visit and during that time my sister spent quite a bit of time going thru the buildup of stuff my mom and stepfather accumulated. She did come across quite an assortment of old pictures but my sister and she came across so old pictures from when we were young back in the 1960's 1970's 1980's back when we had to take our pictures in to be developed. Once the 2000's hit i think most of the pictures ended up on old broken computers and laptops. My sister went thru a lot of stuff. Shes's the type to never sit down and organize, organize, organise. I think that gene must have passed me by. I like to collect like my mom, but I find it extremely difficult to organise. My sister spent a lot of time going thru things and when I asked if she came across any pictures of my dad who died when we were young, or my grandparent, because I have nothing she got disgusted and told me that if I wanted any of that stuff, i should come spend time there, helping my stepfather and going through stuff myself. Both my mom and I are going to miss her a lot. They left yesterday and we missed saying good-bye, because I didn't really think they'd go yet. They initially drove down intending to stay until the end of September, but with the smoke from the BC forest fires drifting in the wind for almost 1000 km was drifting in almost everyday and my sister's husband has been complaining that it hurt his breathing for almost the entire time they were visiting. He wanted to go to BC and visit some of his friends and made plans but we told him that if he found it smoky here almost 1000kms away, he wouldn't be able to stand the air quality there. Boy I got off track. Maybe I should delete most of my comment. Have a good weekend coming up soon.

Can we start with the box😂 I get so excited by your excitement. I love seeing these old interesting bits of history. Fan mail to Hollywood stars, Rock Hudson and Doris Day. An old envelope from a stamp collectors shop in Wandsworth, England...where I lived for 8 years in the 80s. The laugh I had when you tossed the postcard with the dolls aside saying "....not creepy at all!"😂😂 I found myself grinning with joy watching you unbox a box of old envelopes 😮 TFS❤❤❤

Hi, you need to check all those stamps from the early 1900's as some of them are worth a lot of money. Richard Chamberlain is/was an actor so could also have some value.
