Vince Carter Tribute | THE COMPLETE PLAYER - More Than A Dunker
Спорт
Vince Carter is known worldwide as quite possibly the greatest dunker who ever played in the NBA. That honor is a double-edged sword however, as it has overshadowed his complete basketball game and supreme skillset as a player. Vince worked diligently to improve his ball handling, his post moves, his passing, and his perimeter game. And when he was in his prime, he was truly one of the best all around players. It's unfortunate that many NBA fans don't know this about him. You often see the quote "Vince was just a dunker" on social media. I made this video in the hopes it will open eyes and teach people how good he was in virtually all aspects of the game. If you ever encounter a friend or fellow fan who claims "VC was just a dunker", please just link them this video :-)

Let's not forget Vince is the reason for all star weekend continuing! After that joke dunk contest in 97, the fans had enough and the league decided to end that event, until..... 2000 Dunkin contest and who ⭐'d in it? Yup none other than Vince Carter 😂 You're welcome young bloods! Because of Vince that whole event was shocked back to life that's facts research it! Not top 75 what a joke! That's why I stopped watching basketball it's whack asf now, after kb retired that was it! We'll never see another Kg, kb, tac, ai, Jermaine O'Neal, Ron artest, Vince Carter, Ben Wallace, sprewell, Houston, Francis line up again! God bless y'all in Jesus name Amen ❤️🙏
Zero dunks in this video and still so entertaining and exciting one. Hope this video help casual fans understand the real Vince and the fact that he was a complete player. Outstanding storytelling, as always. Thank you very much!

No dunks here. But he was damn good. But his other vids are crazy. Dunks here and there. VC ❤
Such an under-appreciated player
Vince is one of my fav ever. So entertained watching him.
Thank You Max for this. I became a VC fan as a 10yo kid. Now I'm crying as a 30yo man while watching this. Some say it's just a sport, it's just an entertainment. But it's a damn huge part of my life. I've watched VC games for 2/3 of my life. Went from Europe to Toronto to watch him play live. Damn you Vince, I miss you...
I've been disappointed with VC the last years because he doesn't do anything on social media, but seeing this masterpiece as max has done for so long, being able to see how graceful VC's moves are all around, poetry in motion.. so he can never stop being my favorite player ever. Thanks Max and Vince.
I'm in tears..... That's how much I Love VC!!!!!! Living Legend!!!!! Awsome video Max!!!! 🙌

Vince Carter will always be my all time favorite. And always been loving your videos Max :) Such great tributes and put togethers.
The fact that Vince never really had another super star to help him, shows you how powerful he was by himself. Kidd is one of the best PG ever but he needed help scoring. He never had that. RJ was a solid scorer but not elite. VC never had a chance at a legit contender during his prime. VC could have been a 15 time all star had he had help. He was cut short. VC was easily top 10 player in the league. During the 00’s He is in the all decade team for 00’s. How Dame and AD and Reggie on the top 75 players over VC is beyond me? Smh 🤦🏻♂️

The media really did VC a disservice. They saw his talent and said “Anything short of Kobe or MJ is a disappointment”. They felt this way during his 2nd year in the league! And once it became clear that VC was a great player, but not a cold blooded insane killer like Kobe or MJ, the majority of the media made up their mind and wrote him off. “He didn’t live up to his potential” “He could’ve been greater” “He never loved the game” “Has no work ethic”. And even when VC got healthy again in 03-04 after his knee surgeries, and even when he entered his prime with the Nets, he never made an All-NBA team again. Partially because the media wanted to reward winning teams (they kept giving Billups All-NBA nods over VC) and partially because they still had resentment that VC “wasn’t Kobe”. They were done with him. And most recently with the Top 75 nonsense. You see players like Carmelo and Dame get mad love from everyone, despite them not achieving much of any post-season success. And VC again is being snubbed, despite his Hall of Fame worthy resume (Top 20 scorer, Top 10 3pt Shooter, 8x all star, Gold Medal).

@@MaxaMillion711 exactly my point! It’s an absolute travesty. VC was way better than half of the 75 players on that list. Like legit! I remember when the Heat and Nets rivalry began. They only factor was Shaq and Mourning. VC was consistently destroying Wade. And this is a 2 guard who was highly regarded for his D. VC destroyed him no matter what. 51 on him and that stout Heat D.

Max is a Legend when it comes to disclosing the truth surrounding Vince's legacy. I been following your vids since 2006. To add another poignant point to your comment, the NBA didn't even give this legend a proper sendoff his final year......no media coverage no farewell tour. He was completely disbanded and ostracized from the spotlight. Kwame's latest tear against the media sort of speaks to this notion....the media controls so much of the narrative when it comes to people's careers.

@@nikeflight17 good points as well. Remember the all star game they honored dirk and wade and then nothing for VC the next season. He’s not part of “the club” or whatever you want to call it of nba personalities. He was excluded from the nba 75th commercial too. (Also thanks for watching my stuff for so long!)

@@MaxaMillion711 Yes! I failed to mention the all-star snubs; If I can parlay: he is actually a 9 time all-star, he had to sit out an all star game because of an injury. Vince also mentioned that Nike wouldn't retro his signature nike line for his last year. Instead they did a half-ass re-release of the nike shox bb4-which I also heard lacked quality and durability compared to the bb4s that were released when he did the dunk of death. Lastly, the bb4 rerelease didn't even include a PE edition with a VC logo for longtime fans of his. It was a generic subpar release of a shoe that VINCE made famous. They treated Vince like trash. You are a legend Max. Never stop making these vids---if you don't....WHO WILL??
Vince made me a true believer of natural inborn talent do comes seldom...he is the one to me forever ..He is the very best of them all that ever played in the NBA ...Amazing of them all !

One of the greatest to ever play this game !
Vince Carter is a versatile player. He's Jack-of-all trades. No dunks in this video and its still entertaining. New generation of NBA fans should watch this to witness how great Vince Carter is. He made history. Thank you sir Max for making this video.
I'm from Daytona Beach. Been watching Vince play since high school. Casual fans only think Vince can only dunk that baffles me.
NBA will never be the same for me without him, thanks for all your videos, you're the best Max !

i'm literally crying at the end of your vid max!😭
Brilliantly produced
he is a true inspiration in all aspects of your life, literally... thank you max; you must be "the unofficial vc fans spokesperson" !!! [we love this game bcoz of him]
How i wish the covid pandemic did not happen at all especially since it affected Vince's last year (2019-2020). I was really looking forward to all his road games especially against his former teams. No kobe farewell tour treatment for him but i knew for a fact that most teams did appreciate what VC brought to the game. Some teams that he did not even play for (like san antonio) gave a tribute to him, gave him a standing ovation (new york, miami, boston, etc), or recognized him on their official social media accounts (portland, cleveland etc)
This is the best Tribute video I’ve seen of my favorite player… 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn, i just watched this, for the first time. Brought tears to my eyes 😢 my favorite player of all time. What a great video! MaxaMillion

The fact that the video is perfectly 15 minute long. Max you the Goat
I love this man. The most respected. Underrated. To me, He is NBA ...
Pure talent, pure artist. Great story telling. Slap this video to those people who made the selection in the 75th years.
So slick that in the passing part you put a pic of kidd guarding him.
You are a Vince Carter of video editing!
I think they should give him a special Champ ring As an appreciation from the NBA franchise
Although his career has some "what ifs" regarding him not winning a championship; he's the best dunker of all time and he's one of the true gentlemen of the game. If there was no Kobe, his name would be mentioned as the best SG from that generation as far as embodying the position. I know he was my favorite SG from that era and I'll always respect the fact he went to teams where he could still play, but also mentor young talent and not join a super team to ride other people's coattails towards a chip. I'll go even further and say he should be added to the list of snubs from the NBA 75 players list. Vinsanity 4Ever!

You should already know that the west had harder matchups in conference play with the likes of teams like the Kings/Spurs where Kobe was needed to take a bigger load and in the finals the east had weaker bigs so the gameplan was to feed shaq. Thats common knowledge, the only player in nba history that couldve possibly taken one of those threepeat mvps from shaq would only be MJ

My idol... Since you've entered in NBA.. Its so hard and sad that you cant get a championship ring... But thank you for being a dynamic player.. Vince15...idol..
Toronto Nj days he was a complete player. When he transitioned to a role player with reduced scoring touches, he could literally do it all. At one point in his career he was the most efficient scorer on pick and rolls and this allowed him to stay in the league far longer than anyone past their prime. VC's basketball iq is insane. He run point during stretches on dallas and memphis when their guards couldn't figure out the other teams trap defense. He could literally do it all. Played Pf for the kings and hawks. Ran screens for conley, fox, trey young. Became a scoring backup for nowitzki, howard. VC's game impacted the game in so many ways. Respect
VC shows me the beauty of basketball. He is my hero forever.
Thanks you so much bro, Vince was my fave after Jordan , now it’s Kyrie
