I remember your first videos man... Almost 20 years ago.

They showed none of his scoring feats only lobs and dunks it’s a shame how he’s been type casted only as a dunker. This guy is one of the best scorers the nba has ever seen. One of the most electrifying and charismatic players the game has ever seen. Should be recognised.

It's been two years and this farewell video on his retirement still put tears in my eyes.

Vince is one of the OG's man. Wanted to play until he literally couldn't. Even Kobe wanted to walk out on his own terms. Vince didn't care about legacy or leaving when it looked good.. he just loved the game.

Coronavirus made it where he couldn't finish out his final season, as well as get an in-person tribute, inside an arena, in front of players, coaches and fans. I hope when his HOF eligibility arrives 5 years from now, that he will be able to give his speech inside a packed venue, full of NBA alumni and fans.

Was watching from the Philippines 🇵🇭 year 2000, I still remember vividly how amazing his dunks were during the Slam Dunk contest where he won. “It’s Over! It’s over!”

I definitely shed tears watching this because I’m such a fan of Vince. Dude had a great career. He was the reason why I loved the game of basketball. My favorite number is 15 because of him.

As a young kid I always feared this day... Never wanted Vince to retire but he stuck around a lot longer than anyone expected and my favourite player of all time played more seasons than anyone else ever and I'm still very very sad that his career is done 😢 wish he would play forever

@PoeticJustice I get what you mean, but if he said Top 3 I wouldn't be mad, but Top 5, he means there's a possibility that there are 4 more players better at dunking that VC. I think the only guy that can be argued as the best dunker of all time is Dominique Wilkins, but Nique is more of a power dunker while VC has both power and style.

I'm not bothered by it. For me VC is easily number one, but maybe Morant is a cat that doesn't wanna be absolute with his assessment. Or maybe he prefers pure power dunkers, in which case you're probably ranking Nique, Shaq and Kemp above him. It's really no big deal...I would love to hear his list tho lol.

Have to give credit when credit is due. Growing up in Vancouver, hockey was the main sport. Vince was the reason why I got into basketball. I remembered I would imitate all his moves and played like him. I even did 360 spikes when playing volleyball. Thank you Vince for inspiring me and being a part of my childhood.

Vince completely deserves to be the last 90s player. He is the best dunker in the whole world, all time, period. Half-man, half-amazing. If he was lucky to have a good partner in crime (I.e. T-Mac staying at Toronto) he could’ve had like 3-6 rings.. he has been lucky in his young years in terms of injuries, but no one is immune to injuries in professional sports unfortunately.. he recovered like a super human, it’s sad to see this legend go.. he was one of those people that changed the NBA and basketball world-wide forever. Inspirational.

90’s era basketball players were just next level, Vince a HOF’er no doubt. Watching this made me miss Kobe even more. Stay safe y’all!

One of the most memorable Vince Carter moments was when he was playing with the national team during the 2000 olympic games. He jumped over France's 7'2" center to dunk. That dunk received it's own name around the world, "le dunk de la mort" or "the dunk of death". Thank you Vince for what you contributed to basketball and your positive influence around the world.

I can Imagine the feelings going through his mind as he watch his highlights, Goosebumps. The way he influnced the game definitely represents his Career as Epic. Im pretty sure every fan including myself of this sport appreciate and respect all the Excellent memories and things you've done and left us throughout your NBA Career, which still makes you a Champion in my prospective . To one of the grestest Legends and soon to be HOFr Vince Cart, its been a honor to witness your greatness and as I say Thank You 👏🏀 👑🎥.

Every kid that loved basketball in my hometown of 40k when I was a teen. It was either Kobe, A.I., James, but everyone loved vince. We loved to watch our raptors face off the future greats and the few past greats Lucky enough to remember seeing. being only 5 or 6 when we got the raptors teams. Vince was the reason I fell in love with basketball. Still have three, fours and fives of his shoes some where in my house. It will be odd not looking for a vince game to watch. Will miss it.

All the youngsters out there watch Jordan, Lebron, Trae, Luka, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Different era's, To see their game & look up to. But honestly I can't think of a more classy guy on & off the court than Vince Carter. Even if he was talking trash, he done what he done & got back to the other end of the court to back it up. On to the next play, & after the game smiling at opponents who knew he was just a different type of cat. You had to love him. So, Youngsters... Look up to this guy. if it wasnt for vince i might be watching football instead of nba. how could i not know this dude when you always see him in espn and weekly top 10 highlights. he gets 2 or 3 entries every week in top 10 and the reason why i started playing basketball its because i also want to play like him. started playing ball with nike shox vc 2, headband, long socks, baller ids, wrist bands. (smh hahaha those day...) anyway thank you vince, youve been an inspiration to many kids. you will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on forever. didnt care about career stats, tried to win a ring but never bandwagonned and just purely loves playing the game.

I remember the day I fell in love with the game: I've returned from the school back in 2006 and turned on the TV. I accidentally turned on the sports channel and there was a replay from the game which happened last night: Miami Heat vs New Jersey Nets. I've been watching how Vince was putting on a show that night and from that moment my life has never been the same again. This is what truly shows the greatness of Vince Carter: not individual accomplishments or titles but his incredible passion for the game which made thousands of kids around the world to fell in love with this amazing game called basketball. Thank you, Vince, for everything you have done to the game. You are not a half-man, half amazing, you are simply amazing.
