I hate alway seeing negative things between American and Russia on tv and the internet. When it comes right down to it both people just want to live a positive life and be able to provide for our families. If our governments would just move on from the past we could work things out. I wish you and your family the best, when we slow down and look at our lives they are very similar. God bless you all

First, we are conditioned by social media to think that our way is the right way and anyone who disagrees is our enemy. Once we are conditioned and compliant the government comes in and employs the same 'Divide And Conquer' tactics that have been working for millenia We the people need to remember that we can disagree and still be friends.

@@SamsRussianAdventures During quarantine last Spring, I started viewing KZread for info on Covid, and noticed there was a video about "Mega Super Store" in Russia, that piqued my interest because it looked like a Sam's or Costco here in US. I clicked on it, and was introduced to Dan and Susie who were "adorable" of course; and I was hooked on life in Russia, and how much alike we all are. And from there I found Russian Yeah and Russian Plus. I guess the quarantine gave me the time to explore KZread, which I had never done before. Being housebound for months, introduced me to my new "Russia" friends, and their lives.

Please Thank Susie's family for being so kind to share their beautiful country life with us. I grew up in the country in Southern Ohio. My family grew most of our food like your father does. We canned( preserved our food in sealed glass jars) so that we would have food all year round. I still have my own garden and can my tomatoes. This has been a great year for everyone's tomatoes. My tomatoes are huge like your father in laws. I loved seeing those beets too. I love to eat pickled beets. I don't have enough garden space to grown them where I live now. I enjoyed seeing all the handcrafted baskets and structures Susie's father made. What kind of wood did he use? Willow trees? My parents who grew up in the country saved parts, screws, bolts, metals, etc. They grew up in the depression where no one had money to buy new things and they just had to fix what they had and hope it kept working. That's why people gardened too. The Pandemic has reminded all of us here in the USA that we need to go back to raising our own foods and preparing for alternate sources of heat in the winter time. And now we need to worry about alternate sources of water and ways to stay cool from the heat. Your nieces are all such lovely girls. It was lovely to meet Susie's sister too. It was good to see the beauty of nature and family come together. I loved that field of sunflowers you drove by. This has been one of my favorite videos that you have made! I hope you will continue to be able to visit each other more often. And may Susie's family and yours continue to be blessed with good health and happiness!

With politics aside. Russian people and Americans are just the same. Your father-in-law looks so happy seeing his children and grandchildren running around, eating the food he grew from hand. My family in America is the same! My grandmother gets so happy when the family visits. She cooks a meal from mostly everything she grows to. Life is about family and happiness! Not the lines or languages that divide us! Dan, I wish you and the family nothing but the best. Keep doing what you're doing. You have a beautiful family and child!

"I wish we could express ourselves freely" What are you talking about? You already can. You can say whatever you want, but there will be social consequences for certain things and that's the right thing to do. Being racist, sexist, homophobic/transphobic, discriminatory... That's not acceptable anymore. We don't want people inciting hate or violence. Or forcing religion on people. Or refusing people their human/civil rights. Or spreading misinformation. You're not living in "distopian times". You're on a PC/mobile phone, connected to the internet, which I presume you're able to pay for because you have a job or parents that have a job, so you have an address which means you have a roof over your head, and are able to pay your taxes, rent, bills, etc. You're literally speaking from privilege... First world problems.

Suzie's parents are "Old School" and know the value of farm life and how one can live from the Earth! You are so right in your thoughts as to how people will survive in the face of tragedy or hard times. The knowledge that Suzie's parents have should not be lost with them! Learn from them and teach Seti these things too. You may not have time for a garden each year but if times are tough, you will be able to grow your own things! Knowledge is power! When we are dependent on someone else to provide for our daily needs, such as food, we become so removed from the labor of living. Also, the handy work of weaving that Suzie's father does is amazing! My parents provided for us but they also taught us the value in hard work and quality work! We are, as a family where we are today because we all worked together to make a great life! I can never, ever repay my parents for all that they taught me or provided me! My mom is gone now but she lives through me in what she has taught me to do in life which is used every single day! @@SamsRussianAdventures Really like your videos Sam, in my opinion (just my two cents not to be taken to seriously, please do not read further if you have thin skin and do not take criticism well) Dan's videos (both thumbnail and content) give off a wholesome and fun vibe while your videos give off a more water type of vibe. Good, nutritious, but not very flavorful. Your videos of you exploring a town with your friends or just consistently interacting with the locals are a lot more fun and a lot more inviting to click on especially if they are featured in the thumbnail. The thumbnails where it's just you and some random road or building in the background are not very inviting while the thumbnails with just a building and some title on them are the least inviting. They make it look like it's going to be a very boring and long video. As I mentioned earlier I really like your content that features you interacting with your partner/friends/locals especially since you're such a friendly sociable guy. Wholesome and fun! More homeboy chillin Russia kickin' it with the homies and less tour guide in Russia *imo* 🤷‍♀️ Edit: Example, "Life in my Russian Village | Englishman in Russia Sorry I've been busy" -- Really interesting and great video horrible thumbnail.

After watching the yeah russia channel, I understood that people watch her channel because of her, not because they want to see Russia. Russia just happens to be the place that Natasha lives in. I will take your advice onboard and I will change my thumbnails. I have tried many different scenarios on my videos but I can't say that I have had any real success with a particular strategy. Often my best videos get the least views and my worst get the most!!!!! Some popular titles get almost no views and unfortunately the most popular videos are those which either have a title about Russian girls or have a girl on the cover.
