As a Chelsea fan I was ready for Villa to spank us… we played the best game so far this season and our team is so bipolar next game we could just be rank again. TBH Villa just didn’t show up for this game and that made it easier.

Another Chelsea fan here, just like to say i've had a fondness for Villa as my 2nd team since my first Chelsea match was a home to villa, lost 0-2. Good luck against united at the weekend and for the rest of the season. Gotta love a club that plays Ozzie pre-k.o.

Chelsea fan here from Brisbane (Was at 2000 cup final at Wembley.Been here 20 years). Gotta say, you do a bloody good game vlog! As a few others have said, being a bit more open, Villa actually suit Chelsea more than a Brentford or Wolves, who sit deeper and counter. Love what you do and well impressed with the chat. Yep agreed, plus the system hurts a lot when some of our back four are missing. But you're right, teams like yours, also Newcastle, counter our system completely. Love your honest views podcast Max win or lose, and see that opposing fans appreciate it too. Quite frustrating time to be a Villa fan at the moment, 2 home defeats in a row to 'out of form' teams that have completely out played us, where we used to be so good.

Think people got a bit carried away because of the Sheffield Utd performance and result. We have hit our sticky patch for the season just hope it doesn’t last too long. Always thought Chelsea were better than their league form suggests.

So many people saying where has this Chelsea team been all season, but as usual when a team or manager is struggling, we make them look world class. Old Villa resurfacing. I don't fancy us against Utd at all. Hope I'm wrong. UTV.

All those fans of ours who were worried about too many games will sleep easier now. Stick the reserves out for the two European games and then we can concentrate on finishing top six. Oh the memories. Football used to be about winning trophies, now it’s about trying to be one of SKY’s poodles, and it seems many are lapping that up.

I'm glad we have leeds,we have a long drawn out hatred of them going back to the 70's,if you watch the 1970 fa cup final,think if that game was played now,i even went to the replay at old trafford `and it carried over to that game as well,you see will not play like that the next game.

Awe the beginning of this video totally described the feeling of us Villa fans … pre-game - such optimism. Only to be crushed. 😣 ref was atrocious. I still fail to see how Enzo got a free kick - looked to me like he swung and missed and the momentum knocked him over. Was 8:00 past their bed time or something - curious to know what our pass completion percentage was … we were just giving Chelsea the ball. I’m still a bit gutted - totally thought this would be our year for a Cup final.

Aston Villa is a big 6 team imo, they won the european cup, they were one of the first teams, they are on good form at the moment. But if not now, later on

The team looked mentally and physically shattered after 10 minutes (some players were reallyblowinghard). Passing was poor, closing down virtually none existent. It was nerve racking watching the ball being across the back so close to the Chelsea forwards. However at least we can't pick up any more injuries in the FA cup. Man utd will really fancy their chances and will look at how Chelsea played and set themselves up. They'll come out the blocks looking for a quick goal. In some respects a win over Man Utd will say more about the Villa and where they are than many previous games.

Everton were best away fans at VP by a mile this season. well played Chelsea deserved win but villas passing was shocking,hardly made a tackle and gave Chelsea oceans of space especially in the first half.

Didn't play well at all also had to mute the TV as I couldn't stand the awfully biased commentary by a certain Lee Dixon!!
