It's not flawless, there's a small wobble as she does the turn, and the pike position could be deeper. Look at how Daria Zgoba did the skill.

That was actually an inbar 1/2, not a blind change. And she does have a slight wobble and grip adjustment during the handstand. Mustafina and Komova have both performed that skill more smoothly

Gorgeous work but someone please sort that dismount out. She does it every time. The split of the legs (almost like she is doing a Gienger) is at least a 0.3. Such gorgeous work with such bad form on just one skill is weird. See the slo-mo at 1:46.

She didn't do it as junior. When she upgrades to F dismount and later changes it to this dismount, her leg form looks weird.

Good routine. Not outstanding. Some of the handstands were a bit short and the release caught with bent arms if I’m being really picky. Scrappy legs in dismount. Swing turn just incurs deductions. I prefer to watch Chinese.

It can easily be a 15+ bars at worlds standard. Bars workers are so favored in this quad.

Her routine also has some room for quite feasible upgrades (e.g. swap the Ray for a Ricna, connect the Pak into the Chow 1/2 and maybe upgrade to a Fabrichnova).

@@cocoroni1031 true but she can easily swap the Downie for another Tkachev type skill with a different entry (maybe even Nabieva). Or instead of the Ricna go for a regular piked Tkachev. The point is her first Tkachev is only D rated and can easily be swapped for one rated E or higher.

@@poshbo There is less incentive to upgrade the D element compared with other potential upgrades. Upgrading Ray to Piked Tkachev only gain 0.1 and that's it. Connecting Pak to Chow 1/2 gain 0.1 plus avoiding potential extra deduction for cast to handstand / grip adjustment, and it makes the routine more fluent and shorter.

@@cocoroni1031 but it's still an upgrade and every tenth counts in elite competition. If she really wanted to max out her DV she could do the Downie first then the Nabieva for two F rated releases (so 0.2 more than her current routine). The point is these are very feasible upgrades which don't change the structure of her routine

Overweight, my doctor told me to lose some weight. A friend suggested Gymnastics. So I chose the Uneven Bars. They're eve now.

Too bad they cant compete else where. And it will be nerve racking for her to compete without any other international big events. She great in Russia but based from history her nerves gets the best of her when in Worlds, Olympics and sometimes in Euros. That is why Melnikova raises the occasion when it maters in World and the Olympics because of her international experience. She migh be always no. 2 in Russia but else where she beats Listunova in Worlds and Olympics. And actually medals.

Listunova defeated Melnikova at the Euros 2021 AA. And Listunova stayed on the beam in the Olympic team finals after Melnikova and Urazova fell. Where Melnikova beats Listunova is in the event finals as that is where the international experience becomes important.

@@harsjourney9773 while the Russian athletes laugh and have a good time while training, Ukrainian athletes have to hide in bomb shelters every time Russia shoots a missile at their cities.
