​@@cookie4049 They aren't paid much on a regular basis. Probably 400-800$ monthly. Most of the income are the money for winning international championships, which is not an option now. Melka even said in her insta that she is struggling with the lack of motivation now, not because of the money (she is a business woman also), but because there is no goal now. However, she's a fighter, for what I admire her

@@wkim22 well, despite the IOC being morally corrupt and trying to find ways to let Russian athletes compete, there is talk about “neutrality” for athletes that haven’t participated in any of the Kremlin propaganda for Russia’s war in Ukraine. Given that Listunova and Urazova appeared as highlights on stage in one of Putin’s pro-war rallies, I think that’s incriminating evidence enough to prevent them from participating. I don’t think France will grant them a visa to enter the country either.

@@kda4003 lol you are mistaken as they're about to be reinstated to compete internationally that's why the other side are calling for a boycott in Paris 2024 which is fine as it'll make Russia and China's medal wins effortless. But knowing some western countries are all talk no action, I bet they won't boycott.

So how did Melnikova NOT win when she hit everything nicely and Listy had a fall? 🤔Anyone knows scores? A lot of added difficulty from Viktoria on bars, beam and floor, she really is working for it. 💪

Because the results from QF and AA are both combined, Vika scored just a bit higher in AA but scored like 4 points ahead of Gelya in QF so she won.

If her body didn’t hit the ground at all then it’s not a fall. Touching the beam is .5 deduction plus whatever other deductions they might take from the skill and recovery.

@@heathrdarling Incorrect. A fall can also constitute a fall _against_ the apparatus and not just off the apparatus.

She is BEAUTIFUL, We are completely missing out on her prime.
