After so many years of hard work, of sacrifices, of living the life of an athlete rather than one of a teenage girl, she was crying because she wasn't good enough for that top spot. When she got silver at the olympics, you could just see her heart breaking. If nothing else, she should be allowed to mourn for what could have been.

Marie Magdalene Himes also if you see Komova’s vault at the Olympics, she practically fell out of the area on her landing... she didn’t deserve the gold. Gabby won it with difficult routines that were better executed

Exactly. She had a few untimely errors that ultimately cost her the golds, but she still should be allowed to be sad for not winning. Anyone who says otherwise has clearly never had a dream that huge.

People keep saying she is a brat. No, she's not she's just emotional and passionate. People express emotions differently. Other gymnasts have cried when they did not win or perform as well as they wanted. It's a normal reaction. People didn't call Alicia Sacramone a brat when she was crying or didn't smile during metal ceremonies. Because how can you smile if you did not achieve your dream that you have been working for?

If people say she’s a brat, they simply show their own personal inadequacy. She had a dream to be number one, came up short and should have the opportunity to be sad without judgement. She’s still accomplished far more in life than those who judge like that ever will.

omg the sport commentator is always bias, dont trust every broadcasting except bbc. I think bbc is a bit honest not like nbc and other broadcast. i believe viktoria komova lost to jordyn weiber because her dance floor is not passionate and not cheerful like jordyn did. I can say in every routines the judges give bonus point to clean abd beautiful routines, which is advantage to jordyn weiber. i read other comment said komova did a few mistake too in dance floor. i watch viktoria komova AA in london and once again her fans keep.saying she was robbed again when its clear komova has big mistake in landing vault but she get higher point than other gymnast even she landing out of line and fell from the landing sponge. Gabby douglas won it square and fair. Dont know why viktoria fans cant accept her lose. Viktoria also accuse usa athletes use drug in 2015 after she lost to usa gymnast again in glasglow 2015. This is reaply bad sportmanship from viktoria.

@@flfm6736 but their total point are not far. in dance floor anything can happened plus bonus point in every routines. Its clear jordyn got bonus point for her passionate and cheerful dance. Meanwhile viktoria dance like for funeral or sad couple who breakup with her bf. She only smile after finish her dance, she should smile in every minute in dance floor, because her music dance is very cheerful not sad music. She fail to perform a good dance plus she made a few mistake too.

@@janethchavez why no applause, maybe they edit it. I watch aliya mustafina AA 2010 full video in rotterdam, its full of edit and compare to what fans record it really different. Never believe what broadcast try to show you. i can trust bbc because they show live, and it different than full video in AA women world championship 2010 in rotterdam

She received scores that reflected her execution- which was at times very inconsistent. Here, it was errors on floor that cost her. In London it was vault (and other areas where she could have been more crisp). She has stated just that herself. Be proud of her for her accomplishments instead of bashing others.

Breaks your heart. Am American and these young ladies work so hard I think all of them are winners. Komova was probably the best Gymnast but it wasn't her day.

viktoria komova is very cute!!!

She doesn't have a terrible attitude. She was crying about the AA silver because she did the best floor routine she had ever done and it was the routine of her life. I am pretty sure if that happened to you, you would be crying.

Exactly the same when Daniela Silivas was taken her AA Gold at Olimpics in 1988!!!

I really liked her floor. She has an effortless grace and gymnastics should look effortless. Except fro vault maybe. I like non flashy routines with subtlety so I beg to differ and say I love it. Very classical. As for crying...it's great to see some personality and emotion. It'a only normal for any elite athelete in any sport to tear up when they don't win. I don't think she was being a bad sport but just disappointed. If you trained that hard you would be disappointed too.

Pero la nota de dificultades de Jordyn era más alta, y komova perdió muchos puntos y principalmente cometió un error grave en la última pasada! El salto cargado fue bajo prácticamente pierde más de 1 punto en el suelo

@@Julian___294 agree with you all. im russian team fan but i watch gymnastic world around 2011 and i think jordyn deserve it. She dance with passionate spirit and smile a lot. Usa really learn from their past mistake with rebecca bross against aliya mustafina. Viktoria not smile too much and her eyes seem nervous, really different than aliya mustafina. Im glad aliya total point in all around 2010 are higher than jordyn weiber. Viktoria was not robbed in this championship but aliya yes she was robbed by jordyn weiber in at&t usa championship. Difference total point between aliya and jordyn only 0.0062. I feel bad for aliya but not for komova, komova should be grateful she still got second place even i think her dance is not passionate like jordyn or aliya.

She’d have won if she’d executed a cleaner floor routine in that aa final- period. Her coaches even admitted she could have done better. When you give 7 tenths on vault and 3 tenths on floor plus make a few errors on other events like beam where they were about equal- you don’t end up winning. She was ultimately happy with all her achievements, be appreciative for it.

Komova deserved the gold.

I cry everytime I watch this, because I get emotional in a happy way for Jordyn, and so sad for Vika. I wish they both could've won.

El robo más descarado en la historia de la gimnasia, ella es la verdadera campeona mundial AA del 2011 y olímpica en el 2012. No puedo ver este vídeo sin sentir rabia y coraje por menuda injusticia. :(

No lo creo el ejercicio tiene poca altura en dos diagonales, las piernas cruzadas en los giros, pasitos en las recesiónes, no tiene el nivel de dificultad de Wieber, tan solo la penalización del doble agrupado es de .400, el doble giro con la pierna extendida está a 1 y 3/4 y el Memmel igual incompletos, la última diagonal también un doble carpado bajo y además está en V en la recesión más el paso hacia adelante. El ejercicio es bonito pero hechiza muy bien por la parte artística.

Holy crap.. so the Olympics were just a repeat of this for her. o.o Finishing 2nd to the same person just a year after. Ouch. I understand her anger, disappointment, frustration. xD She knows she is competing with the best and she thinks she can be the best. Imagine the pressure she's under all the time. I'd like to know what her living environment is. Lighten up Komova, you're a champion.

Instead of playing the bs “politics” card, think about this. In total in two events she gave Jordyn a full POINT head start. Jordyn had the one break on bars but absolutely rocked both her vault and beam. She also had better execution on floor with only the one step out of bounds being noticeable error. Victoria took a pretty big hop back on her vault, bars she could have been more crisp on (her coaches stated that), beam she had several checks and floor she had multiple mistakes including a very badly executed turn. The results reflected who executed best- and that was Jordyn.

That is such a rude comment. No one calls her silver girl. No, she will not retire just because she won silver. That would mean she would of given up. Viktoria Komova is not giving up on her career because she knows she hasn't got what she needs to end it. She has plently of time. Why don't your American gymnasts retire since you have robotically won several times. Americans are just happy when they win everything.

How is she selfish? Wieber was crying that she didnt qualify to the AA final, i think thats selfish. Sui Lu lost the beam gold to her teammate and cried, i think thats selfish! European gymnasts and Chinese gymnasts take this sport extremely seriously. Americans dont seem to understand that. A silver or a bronze medal is considered a failure to them! Thats why Komova cried. She admitted it was her own fault that she got 2nd. Her mother was a world champion. talk about expectations on her part.

I’ll tell you why you think that - because you’re arrogant and self-important. Well the truth is no-one cares about or wants to hear your opinion. Literally no-one. You’re not important or special, and Komova’s behaviour doesn’t need to be justified to people like you, especially since whenever it is with actual facts you call it excuses because you don’t want to accept that they are indeed facts.

Jordyn deserved to win. Gymnastics isn’t about looking pretty and elegant. Jordyn had a big difficulty advantage and only had a serious break on bars. Komova bobbled all over beam, did an easy vault, and got no credit for a spin on floor where she landed her dismount with her face in her knees before taking a huge step.

@@chuuu4610her beam was far better than Victorias on that day. Nothing more than a couple of minor checks and great difficulty. Victoria did not complete one of her turns on beam (foot behind instead of in front) and had several other noticeable checks. The results were reflective of who executed better overall- and that was Jordyn.

Neh, jaja Wieber se salió del suelo, perdió un bloqueo en las asimétricas. En calificación Komova tuvo aún mas fallos que en el AA y le dieron mejor calificación. Ademas después de las barras solo quedaba el suelo

so why don't say something about the bad attitude of maroney on the podium for vault final where she clearly doesn't deserved a medal??

Maroney even said that if one falls like she did, she didn’t deserve the gold. She just was disappointed with herself. There is a difference because Komova is a bad sport. Look at how Jordan went up to her to congratulate her after the floor and Komova gave Jordan the weakest of handshakes like you don’t matter to me.
