It's followed by vijayanagara dynasty because it is from mahabharatha even in his temple sculptures the importance of dasara shown it is from mahabharatha

@kiran I admire that the culture of celebrating dasara is came by vijayanagara dynasty and followed by mysore kings.. But saying Mahabharata is nothing related to this ritual is not good.. I think our dharma is such an oldest In the world .. Hence till it is survived no .. This things are common to tell those are all puranas, not true.. .Recently came or known facts were the main reasons.. to believe or follow some old rituals like this some people themselves make history of recently known and erase the ancient one by saying it as just purana..

Not a 1% is cared about Vijayanagar!! This is why Mysore Bangalore politics is disgusting!! All developments of Bangalore Mysore were done with treasure of Tremendous Vijaynagar empire!! Even Mysore palace was built in remains of Vijaynagar empire treasure!! Today also successors of Vijaynagar empire are there ....why no respect given to them as of Mysore family members!!
