Sruti is proud to present an outstanding South Indian carnatic virtual vocal concert by Vignesh Ishwar, accompanied by L. Ramakrishnan on the Violin, NC Bharadwaj on the Mridangam and N.Guruprasad on the Ghatam.
Vignesh Ishwar is a highly sought after young carnatic vocalist and hails from Mumbai, India. Endowed with a sonorous voice, his music is energetic and impactful with abundant creativity. Vignesh trained under Palakkad Shri T.S. Anantharama Bhagavathar for over 17 years and since 2008 he has been training under well known vocalist Shri T.M. Krishna.
Vignesh has performed extensively in India and abroad. He is regularly featured in all the major sabhas in Chennai during the December music festival. Vignesh received the Best Concert award in the Sub-Senior category at the prestigious Madras Music Academy in 2019. His concerts have received rave reviews in The Hindu year after year.

What a solid concert and brilliant camaraderie! Goosebumps....unparalelled Mridangam & Ghatom support - Aha - what a thani! Loved the selection of all traditional azhuttham ulla rAga selection - never goes out of fashion. Thanks a lot Srutiphila for organizing this.🙏
Song selection are very fantastic. All Gana ragam Todi for Thiyagarajar, Anandhabairavi for Syama sastrigal, Kambothi for Muthuswami Dhikshitar is nice selection. God bless all team members
An amazing and a joyful performance by vidwan VI & team 👍 144 minutes of pure bliss. The vidwan, with his majestic voice & lucidity in diction did ample justice to all kritis. Excellent alApanai, neraval, kalpanaswarams (also a brief tAnam before AB). All rendered with emotion & bhakti bhAvam. 👌 Starting with a beautiful mohanam (nannu pAlimpa by the saint, wherein he is overjoyed on beholding perumAL) he followed up with a majestic todi (raju vedale by the saint, wherein he praises srirangam perumAL as He goes on procession) a mukhari (vadasi yapi kinchidapi, jayadeva ashtapadi) kalyani (ellAm sivan seyal by suddhAnanda bhArati) anandabhairavi (tAnam followed by kriti himAchala tanaya by syAma sastry, wherein he praus to brhaNNAyaki thAyAr of thanjAvur) a kingly kambhoji (sri subramanyAya by dikshitar) SB (tirumazhisaiazhwar pAsuram nadandha kAlgal nondhavO) & concluding with a tillAna in poornachandrika (poochi srinivasa iyengar) Wonderful✨ The violin support by vidwan LR was superb. His ragam essays are just elagant & tasteful👌The percussion support by vidwan NCB (mridangam) and vidwan guruprasad (ghatam) was brilliant.👍 Thanks to SrutiPhila for uploading 🙏
Brilliant and Most Blissful concert. !! Sung with so much of Proficiency and Expertise. !! Shows so much of Maturity in rendering every Piece. !! Super Violin accompaniment added so much Beauty and Bliss to the entire concert. !! Percussion accompaniments were also equally very Good. !! A very Enchanting concert and Enjoyed so much listening to it. !!
