Views Galore at White Pocket & Alstrom Point - Utah Adventure Vlog - Part 1

We were invited to join some photographer friends on their trip out to White Pocket and Alstrom Point. We were even ambushed by a birthday girl backpacker in the middle of nowhere! Part 1 of this Utah Adventure cements wonderful memories created in just four days. Part 2 we take off on our own trip into Moab, Utah.

Nice video, saw JonDZ video as well which has a little different perspective but both are nicely made. I plan on going there with some friends and have a 2018 Forester XT as well, was curious what your opinion would be making it to the main parking area, of coarse depending on road conditions? It seemed the Forester had problems when it went past the sign that said 4x4 only where you guys camped out. Thanks

David, glad you're enjoying our content! We're always out and about together and I'm always surprised at how different our experiences and perspectives ends up being portrayed in video. For White Pocket: We had great timing getting there with packed down moist sand. It can get very sandy and soft and you'll need to do some recovery especially from a standstill. Wouldn't recommend going alone. Periodic dry and soft sand gets people stuck!! For Alstrom Point: Due to recent rains, I know there are mud portions that are very difficult for even 4x4 vehicles to get through. Once dried, you shouldn't have an issue reaching that parking lot area. Just a corrugated road and making the correct turns. Stay safe & enjoy! Alan
