They rarely answer but yes you can but to work harden on a plastic mandrel I would use either a raw hide mallet or a nylon hammer..hope this helps.

@@deby7821she's the one giving Suzy Wong problems. I actually remember seeing a comment from you on that video: the ring that looks like this one done in square wire but with pink beads instead Suzy posted a few months ago. TL/DR: She's a nobody who thinks she invented this design and, therefore, is the only one who can make this particular style of ring. Many screws loose.

Haha I was just wondering that. If this was a highly detailed complicated ring I'd get it ...but let's be real ... This is a very basic design and I've honestly made ones similar just off the top of my head, and most experienced wire wrappers have....kim needs to chill

Sure! JTV's Jewel School is currently out of stock of the ring mandrel because its one of our most popular and useful tools. The one we sell is made by Eurotool, inc. and is a hard chrome. A quick internet search for "hard chrome ring mandrel," should get you to a link for purchase!

I think Katy is a very creative & beautiful gal but the way she speaks is driving me crazy. (probably a short trip) The growly voice which has become the way to speak with many is very distracting! Saying all that I do love the ring & perhaps I just need to mute and follow the close caption.. Sorry!

I’m sure Katie has much talent but it’s difficult to watch and try to learn from her because she doesn’t explain how to do what she is saying or how to do it. She just says ‘do this if you want to’ or ‘I’m doing some more reshaping’ but then she just taps it with the hammer once and doesn’t explain anything. I hate to be negative but I’m afraid I can’t learn anything from her. she needs more instruction from you.
