What!? I've never heard of any school offering something so cool. I'm not saying that just because I like this stuff. But I really think that's great that they offer something so out of the boxb from your typical classes. Thank you for teaching this kids and giving them something to look forward to during their days.
I love how she explains, I love her, I ask her to continue downloading such beautiful tutorials.

very well thank you.
That’s beautiful! I am also thinking of using that twisted technique, a little shorter, to make links for chain. I would tap them not so flat, maybe solder the cut end closed, patina, buff, & tumble for a couple hours. I think that would look good for a man’s chain… Have a pendant for my brother that I may use it on. Thank you so much ❣️
Love this ring design. Thank you Susan!
Thank you for explaining about patinas and bare copper wire! I've been trying to figure out how to keep them from turning fingers green! Your videos are always amazing.
Glad you made this ring option. Looks great. Going to try to make it for my daughter for Christmas. TYFS
This project is fantastic, thank you! Very inspiring. I see lots of rings (and bracelets) using this technique in my future!
Such a pretty, dainty, sweet ring! I’ll be making this for sure!! Thanks for showing us how!

I always use a piece of cotton fabric over the piece when hammering so I dont mark up the metal, also I've glued cotton fabric on the Inside of the vice for same reason, great video! Thanx❤

That is nice. What is that bracelet you are wearing and how do you make it?
Do you have anything for tie tacks?
Do you just keep the liver of Sulphur in that cup? How long will it last?
Do you have any tutorials on making prong set rings? I have some cubic zirconia stones and unpolished sapphires I would love to make into a ring.

Yes I got a bag of cubic zirconias 4mm faceted on all sized and they’re sitting with nothing to do so I second this request plzzz 🙏
Awesome teach... You are very concise and make it easy to follow along... my one question is: can this be done with Stainless steel wire? Thanks in advance and thanks for teaching us

I would think stainless would work/just a bit harder to work with
Where can we find the wrap-n-tap you used to get the ring started before adding it to the ring mandrel?
@JewelSchool
Жыл бұрын
we are sold out of it on our website, but a quick internet search for wrap-n-tap pliers will get you to a link!
Knew to this and I cannot wait to give it a go! You mentioned an acrylic sealer. Never heard anyone mention that before. Any idea where I could find it or am I being too literal? Thank you for your terrific instructional videos!

You can get an acrylic sealer like krylon at your local home imporvement store! Just be sure you spray the metal before adding your bead. It can be harmful to most gems.

At 5:34. Why not just make it a closed loop with minimum wraps covering the raw end of the other wire?
@minternet1

thats a great idea! I'm gonna try that 😀👍
Why oxidize it when it tarnishes on its own?
Is there an alternative to using Liver of Sulfer??
@JewelSchool
Жыл бұрын
This is a great question! Many different jewelry makers have varying opinions and you can research for yourself, but the overwhelming response seems to be placing your wire before you use it in a container with 8-9 hard boiled eggs! Here is an article we found: www.wirejewelry.com/jewelry-making-blog/22306/how-to-oxidize-your-wire-and-jewelry-without-liver-of-sulfur-by-delilah/ Good Luck!!

Yes, hang in a closed jar over a bit of ammonia
What type of flush cutter is your favorite?
@JewelSchool

The ones that are made by beadalon are the best! Here is a link: www.jtv.com/product/designer-flush-cutter/PLIER61?mcid=XSOjyst00018
Thank you ❤!! Can you make the leather bracelet you have in the video? 🥰 thank you !
@JewelSchool
Жыл бұрын
We can ask!!
Nice looking finished ring, but it will be more durable if you find some way to better secure the ends of the copper wire, like wrapping it under the bead and gluing. With very much use the bead is sure to work its way loose and if someone bought this ring there would be returns and unhappy customers.
Where is the lesson on soldering?
@JewelSchool
Жыл бұрын
This is a "no solder" ring.
Braids require more than 2 strands...that is a twist.
@missparadise879
Жыл бұрын
Yes, but when you flatten it, it then resembles a braid. Without the need of a 3rd wire :)
