David Brenner did a funny impression of Dave that wasn’t actually an impression at all. He would just say “This is David Letterman in prison…” then tap his watch and look at it and say “How am I doing on time?”

2 genuine eye rolls in the first 3 minutes and then ending with such a creative last letter. Letterman was such a mixed bag.

Speaking of Las Vegas, I would love to see the clip where Dave told the "I've got gambling money" joke. Bonus points for a supercut of every time he repeated the punchline after that.

I guess this clip made it into the ‘good’ pile!

Sandman! Showtime At at The Apollo would come on after Saturday Night Live for my entire upbringing and was quite surprised when I found out that it wasn’t a national thing.

I'd actually like to see that Sandman performance again. Paul and the band did a killer "Take The 'A' Train" to accompany him. If Dave's people are reading this (and if they are, hi!), make it happen. :)

Yeah! Dave and his team always pre-recorded a lot of things so that everything came out smoothly. If they hadn't, then nothing would have come off as smoothly as this did.

Please please come back on Monday nights like Jon Stewart is doing on his show now
