Video Overview | Mahlkönig E80 Supreme
Get your E80 Supreme at prima-coffee.com/equipment/ma...
The Mahlkönig E80 Supreme features 80mm steel burrs engineered for high-uniformity espresso grinding and a motor capable of delivering a remarkable 6g/second, making it hands-down the fastest espresso grinder on the market. In addition to speed, the E80 boasts a 3.5-inch high-resolution display with a menu for programming up to six recipes, tracking the temperature in the grind chamber, and-perhaps the most sophisticated feature-showing the distance between the burrs in microns, what Mahlkönig is calling the Disc Distance Detection technology. In this video, Steve shows off the speed, menu, and myriad features of the E80S.

very good review 👍🏽✨
Looks awesome 👍
Great overview of high-end grinder. I'm a bit surprised that grind by weight is not available here, given that this went out along with 65 GbW.

More than that I’d say
What sort of weekly volumes will this handle? we've had the k30, but that didn't handle well at higher volumes. We have mythos2 at the moment, but the declumper is such a terrible design, needing something that can handle 70kg a week (seasonal, normally we're only at 25-35kg week)

The E80 is rated for up to 6 shot cycles per minute at a 50% duty cycle, meaning you can grind for 3 seconds, then let it rest for 3 seconds all day long. In Mahlkonig's testing, they ground 600 shots straight and the temperature of the coffee never reached 50 C.

@@primacoffeeequipment brilliant, I've been looking at the GBW version of this, but am struggling to find any information on it, I know the mythos gravimetric is pretty terrible for a busy cafe with any bumps on the bench causing it to recalibrate the tare. Has Mahlkonig solved this issue? I've been following you guys for a while, always have great information to help out. Thank you so much.

@@gdubnz85 As long as your bar is solid and stable, you won't likely have any problems. You can also mitigate those issues by placing a mouse pad under the grinder. In the E65S GbW maintenance video we also show how to set the sensitivity of the load cell in case there are vibrations happening. Check out that video and also our E65S GbW overview. It should give you most of the info you need, since both grinders operate with the same interface and tech.
Hello my friend, I have a question: Is every new crop weighed again to determine the number of grams?

The grinder grinds by time, so with each new grind cycle it will dispense your desired dose within around +/- 0.5g. You'll have to adjust grind time periodically to make sure your desired dose weight is hit. It is good to check the output weight on a scale every hour or so, or if you see significant changes in your espresso.
What is 8/10 of a gram? As metric is decimal it's confusing. Is it 0.2?
This is NOT the fastest espresso grinder on the market right now.

Which grinder is the fastest? We would love to know! Maybe we can run some tests!
