    Great video and nice grinders. For my home setup, i have the Ceado E37Z Hero Grinder (zero retention) and absolutely love it.

    Hi apologies for the delayed reply but thanks for watching! Yes the Ceado sounds great as a single dose grinder. Can we suggest you try to get your hand on Mahlkonig's EK43? It can also be used as a single dose grinder, has zero retention and is industry known for outstanding grind quality.

    Love your video ! Is espresso taste better from the e80 than e65 or the bigger burr only for High-volume coffee shop because they making too many shots ?

    Hi there and thanks for watching our review! The E80 is very fast at grinding at will be especially useful at high-volume coffee shops. We also think the grind quality is almost similar to the E65S. However in our tests we used primarily espresso blends.

    I had exact question and concern… and from watching tons of videos and a relatively long search today (after buying my e65s) I guess 65mm would be perfect for home use. The only issue with smaller burrs they get more hot when grinding high volumes. So in my opinion they will perform same as bigger burrs if you grinding your 1-2 morning shots. Hope this helped. And wish if someone else can share his/her views based on experience 🙏🏻

    I have a question about the grind timer on the E65S. I see yours goes out to the hundredth of a second. The one I have at my shop only goes out to a tenth of a second. How do we change this to get a more precise grind time?

    Hi there thanks for watching. Just to let you know we’re on this question but we’re currently checking with Mahlkonig themselves to get down to it before we revert. We seek your kind understanding for a little more patience while we figure this question out!

    I recently sold a ceado 37s due to distribution issues and wanted something more consistent. Ceado on paper has a lot of bells and whistles and actually super easy to maintain and well built. Since the E65s GBW adds new tech not found on the original e65s like the DDD, is their any other improvements that people have complained about? Like is the retention lower? Does it grind cooler? Is the stepless adjustment more secure? Is distribution an issue like on the ceado? Trying to decide on next purchase. Thanks for a great video! Helped me to eliminate the e80. Was going with burr size since comparing to a ceado lol.

  • @WhyGuerilla

    Hi thanks for watching! The original E65S already has a pretty perfect distribution (the chute is user adjustable) onto the PF and it does this with very low variance of +/- 0.4 grams in our real world tests. With the GBW and DDD users can now have much better fine control and consistency. However as with precision instruments you have to take extra care and not physically abuse the grinder! Heat management remains the same. We've had customers use 4kg of espresso per day with no issue at all. Any higher then I would start looking at the E80. The stepless adjustment remains smooth and easy to adjust with just the right amount of friction based feedback. Users just have to remember to lock after AND unlock before adjusting again. Hope that helps!

    @@WhyGuerilla Thanks! Picked up the e65S for the home. I make 4-6 cups a day haha. I just really love the GBW screen. Wish they would bring it over to the E65S. Great video comparison.

    HI sorry for the delayed reply but we were unfortunately tied up and busy on other videos! Thanks for watching our videos. and your support helps us produce more like it! The three different burrs do have a slightly different blade design. We're no experts but Mahlkonig is and we suspect is has everything to do with optimising the burrs to the specific model it's being used for. If you'd like to know more about the E80 check out our latest video. We are considering doing another in-depth , second look but hopefully we'll have enough time to get that done!

    Do you reckon E65S is an overkill for a home setup?

  • @WhyGuerilla

    @WhyGuerilla

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes it's overkill for sure but so is a Slayer, which we have also paired with for some of our customers. But getting back to the point this is Mahlkonig's latest generation of grinders so it's very easy to use and maintain even for small volumes. Yes there is a little grind retention for the first shot (when the chute and grinder is completely vacuum cleaned) but if you can manage that the grind quality from Mahlkonig's burr set is very good and their extraction quality is well known.

    Which is the best e80 or the e65 weight grinder

  • @WhyGuerilla

    @WhyGuerilla

    3 жыл бұрын

    This is one of the most common questions we get asked. Your choice ultimately depends on your point of view. If you value speed and high volume then the E80 is the choice for you. Do bear in mind the grind size variance is very small even for the E80, which in our tests managed +/1 0.4 grams. Over a 20gr shot that's a 2% variance and we doubt it will affect your overall recipes much. This will be especially so if a majority of your drinks sold are milk based. However if precision is already in your workflow then the GBW would be a good replacement for manual dosing and weighing each individual shot. You will save A LOT of time, serve your customers faster and make your baristas happy!

    Hi There thanks for watching our videos! Yes most commercial high volume espresso grinders have some form of heat management technology. Although they are all different the most important thing is that it works! Mahlkonig grinders have their own unique cooling system and our customers all agree that it works!

    @@WhyGuerilla I would have loved it when they had took it up a knotch and produced it like the other machines for a higher price. The 500€ pricepoint screens CHINA and that is not the right image for a German company. The ECM’s are more expensive and if you are King of the Grinders you need to maintain certain standards.
