VIDEO: Armed North Texas suspect robs vape store
Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect caught on camera robbing a vape store, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
On April 30, 2024, around 11:30 p.m., a suspect entered Vape City at 6435 McCart Ave. in Fort Worth. Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect's interaction with the store's employee.
The suspect waited until other customers left the store and approached the register, police say. Instead of paying for the merchandise, the suspect pulled out a black handgun, racked it and demanded the money from the register while pointing the weapon at the employee. The suspect then ran away into a nearby neighborhood, according to police.

That’s what I’m saying but vape stores are easy targets cause they don’t have security. And each vape costs like $40-50 so robbers know they walking out with at least a couple hundred or more. This guy is lucky the store owner/worker didn’t have a gun things would’ve been different for sure.

If you look closely you'll see that the slide partially jammed and then clicked into place. It wasn't a trigger pull.

@@jaynjuguna SO what did he do? Fix the jam? I have 12 and none of mine have ever jammed on me before (at least not yet). My G-pa taught me how to shoot when I was 5 but I don't remember what he said about clearing a jam on shotties or hand pieces.

@@KyliazRoyale in a different video about this incident, someone said that the gun has probably never been cleaned since the last person it was stolen from hence the slide getting temporarily stuck. If you zoom in on the video, you can see that it catches and then suddenly releases on it's own.
My local jewelry store installed a "Sally Gate" door where you need buzzed into the store about 10-15+ years ago because they got robbed. Not surprisingly, they've never had another incident
Who goes out, much less works in such a store, without their little friend snug at their side?! Come on?!

Im not an expert but that sounds like it could be empty. Had a really hollow sound to it. Ive been a homeless drug addict in the past and my parents did some desperate things and I feel like i know that sound. I forget what you call it but i remember my stepdad practicing to slide back really quick so you didnt notice the click I could be wrong. But I'd probably be dumb enough to take my chances with a bat

Dry fire. Empty clip. He cocked back to look cool ig and accidentally gave away that ho empty clear sign to enroll in a gun safety course or even a conceals class. It's your amendment right ✅️

He could possibly have like a blank/dummy round? Some dummy rounds catches the slide like that on a Glock.
Isn't this the same store that some dude came in with a baseball bat, grabbed stuff, tried to hide from the cops and got shot later that night?
If you pay very close attention and you know how a pistol works/sounds when loaded. When he racked the slide it catches the slide lock and then he releases it, that normally only happens when the magazine is empty therefore leading me to believe that this guy didn’t have any bullets and he was just trying to scare the guy

If you pay even closer attention you'll notice the slide moves forward almost all the way before it hangs. The slide lock is just before the slide goes fully back with generally only enough play to back off the slide to disengage it. Hanging past the halfway point isn't a sign it's unloaded.
Anyone else hear the dry fire?

Most vape stores don’t. Our shop doesn’t either (cbd shop). That’s mostly in legal states at dispensaries.

They don’t have it because in Texas a lot of the smoke shops are ran by Indian folks that don’t believe in security or safety of their employees at the expense of money. I used to work for vape city. And my whole store brought it up. They just laughed.

for non gun guyz thinking he pressed the trigger and had a empty gun fail to realize that manually chambering a round without practice like this individual will or most of the time jam the slide not properly catching the round in this case it jammed for a split second and his finger on the side the slide goes foward catching a round that it previously had just barely jammed on and chambers a round which is why u hear kinda like two clicks

It should be mandated that everyone who runs a business especially small unincorporated ones to own and possess a firearm at all times especially during store hours, I’m actually quite surprised being that this in Texas where everyone and anyone owns a gun for how lack luster the laws are on owning one unlike my state of California.

Incorrect. In california you are most definately allowed to have guns. You can purchase your first fire arm at 18 like every other state in the country. It's your job to get conceals. It's also your job to know your laws before ever using it. Some states require you to be backed in a corner to "stand your ground" etc... beware even if you shoot someone in self defense there will be legal troubles every single time.
