There probably was a back exit. Fire laws would require a second way to exit in case of fire. There also would be air-conditioning vents in the ceiling that he could have used to climb out to the roof. He just wasn't smart enough to look for them.

There is two reasons he lost all common sense, Greed or Desperation both blind people to the world around them… these are two main drivers to criminal theft. Smart move to the woman who safely and calmly got everyone out and quickly locked the door. I almost went through something like this.

F*** this guy. He even had a gun on him. Like was he going to point it and threaten whoever was in the store if they didn't give him what he wanted? He was willing to intimidate and strike fear in innocent people and he is begging to just be let out of the store so he can what? Continue committing crimes and in general be a danger to society. What a POS. Good job on the lady who handled this situation perfectly and nobody got hurt.

The staff was smart not only to lock up the robber, but to evacuate the store including the mother with the stroller. Sometimes it's not about fighting crime, it's about minimizing the damage. She did it both!

Um do you factor in 1. Traffic? 2. How long before the call was made? 3. How far away were they? 4. Were they in their vehicle or a mile away from their car chasing another suspect on foot? 5. Were they maybe on an accident scene with injured casualties? There could literally be a 1001 reasons why it took so not very long. But no. In Joe publics mind there are literally 20 crewed cruisers standing in the yard with engines revving, all just waiting for YOU to call. He definitely got what he deserved. He inflicted fear and anxiety on innocent people that didn’t deserve that‼️Congratulations to the quick thinking clerk that got out safely with the customers and locked him in!
