Video 3 upgrading Paul's trailer
In this video I build removable sections that form a stake body box around the trailer and add extra bars to tie down loads.

I like how you pinned the corners. Might need to steal that one. As far as doing what the customer wants at your regular rate, I’ve told customers before, “My time costs what my time costs; use it anyway you wish”.

CB, great job on the trailer. Only thing I would of done before you painted it, I would of layed out the plywood and drilled the holes a bit oversized. Just as a rust prevention when Paul install’s the plywood. Awesome work as usual.

Paul decided he didn't want me to do the plywood or anything with that
All the way around, a good job. You put a lot of attention into the small details, good work ethic.

Our roads out here in Commifornia are so rough that those pins holding the corners together would fly out unless they had a lynch pin in a cross hole. I hit a bump so bad once that it launched one my 60lb dump trailer doors clear off the trailer. Trailer's looking good!

The stacker is also at the rail yard I use to drive truck and their was a few of them their and the would use a crane to load them on the train cars the crane has 4 wheels and it goes on cement runners and the yard truck brings it box in and sets it next to the car and then the crane picked it up and puts it on the car and then it gets locked down to the car but the stacker works in the yard getting the boxes down and on the yard truck so ya a lot of them in rail yards sorry I went into so much I just did rail work for 10 years and saw them a lot lol 👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent job done on the trailer and also on the video. I like how you seamlessly take us through the job, not wasting time on parts that are not needed to see, but we still get the entire picture and understanding of what you are doing. As far as the music.I have no problem with it, and if I did, I would simply turn the volume down or off for that part of the video. I was wondering how much time you had into this job. Just the fabrication and painting time. Thank you so much CB.

The spot over the top of the fenders in the middle of the two uprights there's no bar in the center where the fender is at if he puts a load in there in the middle there's no racing right there in the center of that rack between those two uprights

Nice build. I don't thin my Rust-Oleum 50/50 with acetone. That seems a little thin unless you're using a real fine tip sprayer
@NBSWELDING
22 күн бұрын
Tips definitely vary...when I run Rustoleum in the airless I don't thin at all...but in the air gun I sure do
@branchandfoundry560
20 күн бұрын
Yep. I use a 1.8 tip and spray Rustoleum "High Performance" enamel through HVLP and HTE guns @ 25-30psi dynamic pressure, thinned 10-20% with mineral spirits (not acetone). I'll also spray it thinned 20% with 1.3 tip @ 30-40psi dynamic. Flows & covers well, typically two coats.
Great job! What about gussets for the standards and cross bars? For stiffness. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍

Haha I seen that harbour freight Bauer die grinder on the trailer lol. I got the same red one and I’ve almost throw it out the window while driving cause That damn trigger is freaking terrible bro huh? Hate that sucker but I got mine setup just like that. Oh and that “wobble” ya had in the front there with those tall bars? Yea the technical term. For that there is floppy jiblets, when it’s two post then it’s double floppy jiblets. I’m familiar with that term also cause being a landscaper that’s a classic trimmer rack jig, dance move, whatever ya wanna call it. 😂 but been there done that, my trimmer rack used to have like different dance steps it wud be doin on its own. It came that way with some jankey off brand trimmer rack n that bitch would get to twerkin so damn hard I’d look back in my mirror and that thing would be like halfway in the lane next to me like barely missing peoples cars beside me 😂😂 that’s a standard double floppy
