Video 16 Antibody Immunoglobulin Immune Function

16) Immunoglobulin Function of the five antibodies
Let's take a closer look at the five types of antibody immunoglobulins.
IgAs are not typically found in the blood, but in secretions of the gut, saliva, sweat, milk, respiratory track, and urinary track. IgAs are part of our innate immunity and fight pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, fungus and worms. There are two types of IgAs.
IgDs are primarily found on the surface of B-cells and account for a very tiny portion of the free floating antibodies found in plasma. And while IgDs are the least well know antibody, they are known to play a role in the activation of basophils and mast cells to attack invading microbes.
IgEs respond to allergens, such as pollen as well as parasitic worms. IgEs bind to mast cells and basophils. Once the IgE receptor comes into contact with one of these antigens the mast cells and basophils will release histamine molecules, causing the inflammatory symptoms we know as an allergic reaction.
There are four types of IgGs. IgGs target pathogenic organisms, such as bacteria, viruses and parasites. They attach to an antigen on one end while the opposite end binds with phagocytic white cells (macrophages, neutrophils, and natural killer cells) to absorb and destroy the antigen. IgGs are the primary antibody of the human body, accounting for 70-80% of the entire immunoglobulin pool. It is the smallest Ig molecule, allowing it to easily migrate into the tissues of the body. Only 45% are found in the blood. Almost every man made monoclonal antibody in clinical use is in the IgG family.
IgMs are early responders and function to eliminate pathogens early on in the attack before there are sufficient levels of IgGs. IgMs are known as a macroglobulin because of their large size. They are the largest of the immunoglobulins and make up 6-10% of the total Ig pool.

Very nice explanation. Just one annotation 1:20 : IgG are actually just 80% of blood's! immunoglobulines, whilst IgA are the most produced immunoglobulines of the body. :)

Curious to know how long igm's are detectable in the blood after an infection, such as pneumonia.

How does "immunity" result? How rapidly do IgG and IgM antigens form? What determines HOW LONG IgG and IgM result in "vaccination," or "immunity?" I am currently working with surgeon gathering data from his office's pre-surgery testing protocols for "Covid," and the data coming out of this is truly amazing and intriguing. Thx.

I am a type two Diabetic. I had my fasting Glucose tested. My Doctor because I work in in a NON CLINICAL capacity in Hospital said I am going to order a COVID 19 anti body test. I was not really concerned about it. But I figure if he feels its important I guess I will roll with it. I had strong confidence because I did the mask thing and took extreme precautions. Being over 55 and overweight I was doomed if I got Covid 19. I felt ok. I had some breathing issues but I chalked it up to no AIR CONDITIONING in my house because the damn thing broke as the air heated up. This happened 4 weeks ago at the same time as my breathing became more difficult . 3 out of 10 scale in my opinion. Air condition was fixed and over the counter Benadryl coincided with my recovery. I started to sleep well again! TBH I did not even check my lab results until 5 days later. I was feeling great now. Again I was outside landscaping, Pulling weeds, mowing lawns, and kicking up tons of dust! When I did check my lab results I was STUNNED! My lab results as 47au igG with the Covid 19. (15 au is considered an exposure? ) I prey I did not infect anyone else. I am and was feeling better before I ever took the test! I am stunned my Hospital never picked it up. I was screened daily. Never had a temp. I did have Pink Eye? But again thank you. I spent days attempting to understand what all this meant. Yur video was spot on !!!
