Incredible. Swiss Army knives have always been nearest to consistent perfection. For sure "The" perfect edc 5th pocket. Tastefully perfect.

Hi TK: a lovely, clean knife. I have several older Victorinox as well as Wengers (when they were their own company). Many years ago, I did extensive research among the innumerable Victorinox patterns to try and find the ideal selection of blades & tools for my own needs. I settled on the “Passenger” and have carried it ever since. Interestingly, that pattern was retired years ago and has since become quite collectable.

I noticed that although the blade of the combi-tool is dull, unlike the standard can opener with its sharp edge, it works much better. Especially for right-handers. The standard Victorinox can opener works better when used with your left hand.

Elegant little pocket dropper with that thin profile you love, Pete.

I super close checked the blades centering on all my Saks. Rucksack..SD.. Rambler...Ranger. Each and every blade is "perfectly" centered. Incredible tolerances. The thinness of the Banter screams as testament to the engineered tolerance just as is the multiple layers one demonstrate the perfect centering. As you say miracle.

QC beyond measure.

Since selling off a bunch of Classic SDs recently, I think the Bantam is the most numerous SAK in my collection. The Alox ones in particular are great carriers. I prefer the combo tool to the usual Victorinox can opener. I think you're going to like the Bantam a lot...just look out if you start getting into different Alox colors. Thanks for the great video!

I never tire of watching Victorinox reviews on youtube. All SAKs are good in their own way. I only own 9 at the moment, but of course I'll keep on buying them, as they're just so inexpensive, I mean I can buy one of these for less than the price of a pack of cigs and 2 coffees. Or basically with the money I'd save not buying a cup of coffee to go on my way to work for 6 days...which I don't do anyway, I make coffee at home. But I think you get my point. At the moment though the next one in my sights is either a Deluxe Tinker, or Minichamp Alox.

They are fun knives to collect. I try not to get too carried away with them, but I treat myself to one now and then.

I doubt they’d ever put scissors on it, that would destroy sales in their other lines of tools.

Have a tendancy to stop buying a pattern/style if I get the knife I wanted, use wise as well as looks and the Alox Farmer did that. Haven't bought an SAK since. The Swiss 7 is starting to call out though, that is a sweet SAK. This SAK is a very nice knife, the thinner SAKs have a designy thing going for them I can't put into words.

Well I kind of got to the point I could never decide which I liked best , so said the hell with it. I'll just get a number of them and never be at odds with having to wonder.

A really great knife for an office type worker. I have heard that the unusual angle on the one side of the flat-head screwdriver is designed to fit Phillips heads. It would be a little bit awkward to use because I think that it would require lifting up the driver to reposition it every quarter turn or so, but in a pinch it should get the job done.

It does work on some Phillips, but not very convenient to use, and you don't have much of a chance on some tight screws. It's not nearly as good as the tip of the regular can opener, not to mention a proper 3D Phillips. So it might work, but I wouldn't rely on it.

You are correct about Victorinox. They are very, very addicting! The Pioneer is next on my list, I don't have one of those yet. This Bantam is a cool knife, fits that slip near perfect! The only 84mm that I have so far is a Cadet, which is also a nice slim little carry piece. Cheers, buddy!

Maybe drill it through and add a keyring? I often do that on little knives.

Probably no need to Ultrasonic clean and lube. I heard they are surgical clean from Switzerland.

My only problem with the bantam alox is the blade rap if you allow it to snap closed. It’s one hell of a wallet knife.

The victorinox alox bantam has cut me the most out of all of my knives, as I edc it alot. It's so slender and light weight I panic thinking it's fallen out of my pocket.

Hate how they thin out the blade even on this slim line model. Definitely do not like the spacer between the blade and wish it was the same thickness as the backlock

That bottle opener function is pretty much useless. There was a time of old when having a bottle opener really came in handy, but in today's time the vast majority of companies that uses bottles makes it very easy for people to just twist off the cap.
