The watch opener blade is probably strong enough to do double duty as an oyster knife. :)

Sweet 84's Dan, as always great video. I love how pocketable is this size. The only tool you didn't mention and can be in the nailfile position is the electrician blade in the long discontinued 84mm Electrician model. Cheers!

The best 84mm in my opinion is a toss-up between the Alox Bantam and the Tourist. They're both amazing for most people. The Bantam works quite well in a Hitch and Timber wallet.

I think I remember you showing us a black one a few years ago. Cool little knife/opener.

My favorite 84mm SAK has got to be the Sportsman, makes a great light EDC without too much compromise

My understanding was (and according to SAKWiki) that the clip point blade was dropped in 1973 in favor of the spear point. Also I believe that the +PAT stamp on the can opener stopped in 1971 when the patent expired. That would pretty closely date a knife with the clip point small blade but without the +PAT stamp.

Just got a tsa haul with a vintage tinker, spartan and prince with a wenger diplomat too. All for a buck each! I have you to blame for this addiction. Well that’s not exactly true I got my first Vic at 6 years old econo huntsman and haven’t stopped since! Stay safe!

Talking about standard bottle openers in that position, the only ones I know are the early Voyageur and 232k. Also don't forget the 84mm Electrician which has the electrician's blade in that position.

Hey Swiss Army Dan It is great to see a new video. I rotate a small Tinker with a clip point and file in my EDC, The 84mm's are great knives. My favoright is probably the Bantam, but I have an old clip point Tourist and a Cadet running close behind. I don't have a Vic Watch Opener, but I do have an Alox Wenger. Hope to see more videos soon. They are great! Maybe a little intro music too? 😁

I wish they would put a metal file on the Philip screwdrivers again. And I almost bought one of those case opener knives but already have one.

What is your 84mm knife with combo tool, large blade, scissors, and saw? It’s like an old 84mm golfer, with saw added. Never seen that one before.

Can I ask what model the sak 2nd from the right is? I’d love an 84mm Compact. If it had plus scales and a phillips instead of a corkscrew, it’d be just perfect for my edc needs. And maybe a Walker too when I need a saw 👍🏾 Thanks for the vid

rukaks You could get most of that in a Wenger (maybe an evo model) The 84/5mm part anyways. Not the two layer thing😞

I'm always surprised at the term "flathead" screwdriver: The correct term is slotted.

Thanks for watching, Mark! The tool used to drive a slotted screw head is called a standard, common blade, flat-blade, slot-head, straight, flat, flat-tip, or "flat-head" screwdriver. Cheers!!
