At 7'4" the last thing he needs is "Mamba mentality." He's going to get carried off on a stretcher trying to do that "I'm not that hurt" BS. He's going to have to find his own path. He's too unique.

Mamba mentality is so cringe. Being horrible to others only to need help from others to win anything. This goes to jordan and kobe. They cant win by themselves and still retired earlier than james harden who wears a fat suit. So what tf did you do at training? Still missing more shots than better shooter. Both didnt improve past 23, didnt gain muscles like giannis or longevity. What tf did you even do in training? For shows 😂😂

Finally a player where the hype is REAL. He is very talented and free flowing for how tall he is. I really really hope he can stay healthy. It looks like he needs to slow it down a little. Sometimes he'll catch the ball and immediately try to make a move when he could really catch and see what options he has then make that move. His height allows for that. A couple times he caught a lob or inside pass and just went up with it just to miss when there really wasn't any defense that could stop him if he took his time.

The block on 6’7” Wiggins in the post was scary. Wemby toyed with him. Purposely baited Wiggs into shooting his usually unstoppable midrange jumper, Wemby hadn’t even left his feet mind you, as soon as Wiggs jumped and released, Wemby barely lept, extended and blocked Wiggs shot with a practiced confident effort. It was a “get that weak shite out of here” without the overt drama. NBA players will eventually learn how to alter their shots around Wemby, but will risk losing the ball or being forced to pass. It seems Wemby can even defend the basket even when he’s out on the wing. Lol.

The Warriors were so caught off guard and dominated by this Wemby Steve Kerr took his starters out in retreat and stopped the bleeding early. It was painful to watch ... they just won a big game against the Kings the two nights prior, and Steph said they were going "full dress rehearsal" at this point in the pre-season playing regular minutes, but this was almost hard to watch if you're a Warriors fan because Wemby looked like an adult playing with kids, so suddenly the starters all disappeared in the second half. It's incredible what this kid will become if he stays healthy.

I appreciate that this vid showed every possession he was involved in, it is much more helpful than only highlights. That being said, I wouldn't say that he "destroyed" anyone, but I think that the W's and the rest of the league will need to figure out how to effectively guard him, similarly to how it took the league a few years to figure out how to guard the W's offense after Kerr came in. I think he will have a few grace years where he will do really well because teams won't know what to do with Wemby, but then the league as a whole will figure out a successful scheme that he is going to have to adjust to, similarly to how the league has kind of figured out how to guard Giannis. And he's gonna hafta not get hurt, of course. That defense is going to be a different story, though, he's going to redefine what an open shot is, or everyone will have to start shooting rainbows with him around. Did you see that Wigg's 3 he blocked? Crazy. Players gonna be pump faking on their open 3s lol.

I am wondering about his endurance, he seemed quickly tired. And obviously he is a good mid-range shooter. From 3's he needs to adjust the range

I would say that this is his most likely shortcoming. Although he'd still be a force playing only 20 minutes per game I think.

They have him doing everything on both ends and he's like sprinting everywhere. He should be tired 😂 And rookies normally are not on the NBA level of conditioning anyway. He'll get there though, clearly he works hard.

Its just because how pop uses him. His gameplan is to basically run to other side of the court in transition so he could get an easy dunk or lay. Thats why he doesnt have that many rebounds.
