Tom Sowell is one of the few people capable of separating the intellectual wheat from the chaff! Thomas Sowell is a prolific writer, I recommend reading "The Thomas Sowell Reader" first!

These are the best thinkers in our lifetime love them both truth is always worth listening to plus they both are great on facts what more could you ask for from two great men

His primary quality is courage, I think. Courage is needed to follow Truth where it leads __ sometimes into lonely and controversial places. Only with courage can intelligence mature into wisdom.

Two great thinkers. Sowell is historically great. Love hearing Hanson admires him.

I hope that Dr. DVH and his associates at Hillsdale will think of a suitable way to honor Dr. Sowell PROPERLY while he is still with us. A chair, a school, a program...something suitable. Trick him into agreeing for the sake of the country, heaven knows he won't agree for himself.

When these two pass away,their legacies will live on! They are truly gifted thinkers and can't be replaced.

VDH and Tom Sowell, I’ve been a devotee of them both for years. There are very few like them and no accolade exist that could do justice to their abilities.

I wish Mr Sowell would have entered politics in his younger days, it would not be fair to ask him to enter the chaotic fray we are now embedded in. Such a brilliant, thoughtful, forward thinking mind.

My intellectual hero is Forrest Gump. I knew a real person who was such a giant.

Two of the smartest men of our time. Hanson and Sowell. Both are amazing!

Will Hollywood do a movie about him? No.

I don't know Sowell but I see all the conservatives use him a lot because he's one of a handful of Black conservatives that makes sense but he only speaks things that are true this is why you hear him quoted so seldom by there pundits but they do mention his name often this is very funny because the truth is very hard for them to act that way.

In one of Sowell's books, he addresses school choice and govt subsidized housing. He supported school choice because it allowed parents whose kids go to poor schools, to send them to better schools. When it came to govt subsidized housing, he was against that. Why? Because then people from poor neighborhoods would be able to move to better neighborhoods and then send their kids to the better schools in those better neighborhoods. Sowell said those kids originally from poor neighborhoods would reduce the quality of education in the good schools. Funny that.

It's a tragedy that Thomas Sowell's thinking did not really influence American society. We could have avoided this whole artificial woke era.

Conservative old dudes should have web-sites? Sounds like a couple of decades back, when old dudes talked to each other on their blogs. And these two old dudes clearly constitute a classic mutual admiration society. Reminds me that wisdom does not necessarily come with age, sometime age shows up all by itself. Conservatism is an exercise in futility. Keepers of the status quo; proponents of some non-existent bygone era; all are lost in a self-induced pipe dream. The only aspect of reality that can be relied on is change. As Lenin said, sometimes not much happens for decades, then a decade can happen in a year. That happens mostly because folks are fearful of change and some will attempt to move heaven and earth to thwart and deny it, and then the levee breaks and change floods over us. 2024 or 2025 is shaping up to be that kind of flood. Learn to embrace it and swim with the flow, there is no real alternative besides denial.

Thomas Sowell is my icon. Just an incredible thinker. Would love to have a list of those books. We dont know them today. If we dont know of them, they can't be referred to.
