  • @voraciousreader3341
    @voraciousreader334114 күн бұрын

    Cranialsacral therapy _has to be done in person,_ with the therapist gently touching different areas of the skull to “adjust” bones, which we all know are immovable. As a therapy, it has been completely debunked as having any therapeutic value whatsoever, mostly because the practitioners say they are able to “move” completely fused bone to give their patients ”relief.” In other words, it’s quackery.

  • @bundesautobahn7

    @bundesautobahn7

    You said the keyword: "fused". The different parts of the cranium only move when the head is passing through the birth canal. Babies, as they grow older, have those different cranial plates fuse together and forming what looks like stitches. I presume in adults or children, short of a craniotomy, trying to "move" these bones could be heavily dangerous if possible.

    @@christiewright1457relax, he wasn't being condescending and he's still not wrong. "not taking insurance" just means they won't submit a claim to your insurance for you. you go to the doctor and pay a copay, that means your doctor is billing your insurance for you, and your insurance came back to them and told them what you need to pay. some providers won't do that: you pay them out of pocket and then it's on you to submit a claim to your insurance and get them reimburse you. the fact that this provider is a quack and the invoices are garbage is unrelated to the insurance issue. she's just not familiar enough with insurance to clarify that to the judge. it would have been a good idea for her attorney to go over how to present this information in court so that confusing bullshit like this doesn't distract the judge. one could even argue that's why she retained an attorney in the first place. but given her track record for choosing which professionals to hire, i would have been surprised to find her attorney was good at her job.

I saw a licensed chiropractor for it (it was only one of her methods) but licensing doesn't exist for CST itself. It certainly can't be practiced online. In this case she gets none of the $800, of the $1400, she gets about $150. The $150 is, at conviction, a debt. Judge dismissed a violation, (I don't know of what), and convicted him on the original charge.

    21:37 when a provider "takes insurance," that means they'll bill your insurance company for you and wait on payment from that company. it's separate from whether your insurance will cover the procedure. i go see dr. johnson, she takes insurance. i give her my insurance card, and she submits a claim to aetna. aetna will then pay the provider what they're willing to cover. if the provider doesn't take insurance, they won't bill your insurance for you. i go to dr. johnson, she doesn't take insurance. i pay her directly. it's then my prerogative to submit a claim to aetna myself, at which point aetna may reimburse me for my out of pocket expenses. so the insurance parts about her story aren't what's confusing about it, she's just not familiar enough with insurance to be able to explain that to him. if the legitimacy of this provider is what's in question, why they're asking the supposed patient about it is beyond me.

    If your boss or another individual at work is making you go for therapy then just get a new job. No one owns you, even if you have a contract you can get out of those. To stay tells us it wasn't that bad OR nothing was happening at work and it was more likely your private life causing those problems. The other answer is you're way to sensitive to even leave your house, stay home and get an online job.

Also, you’d submit the visits to your insurance AfTER your payment even if the provider doesn’t take insurance hoping your insurance company reimburses YOU for out of network costs OR to have the visits applied towards your out of network deductible. She doesn’t even understand what she should be saying 🤦‍♀️

    Anyone with experience on the prosecution side know about how/if discretion works as far as bringing these restitution claims? Can a prosecutor tell a victim “You can’t claim this” or “we can’t make that argument with what you have”? Essentially, who is this mess on? Is the victim entitled to have the prosecutor argue for restitution as of right? Or should the prosecutor have buttoned all this up before the hearing?

    Cranial sacral therapy is not covered by health insurance and it's usually done by a massage therapist who may or may not be licensed. It is done in person, you cannot do it online. And she should be seeing someone in person not virtually if she's dealing with post traumatic stress disorder. And the person she should be licensed, at least an MA or MS, but preferably a PhD clinical psychotherapist.
