Nonetheless, it's becoming less and less and they are more focusing on SJW stuff made for a minority. I'll never forget Shane going to North Korea, General Butt Naked, David Choe and Harry Kim hitchhiking across America, Siberian Jesus, Hamilton Morris's first few weird yet awkwardly comedic drug adventures and the countless other great videos that Vice came up with prior to it's deal with Fox. Maybe another journalism company will eventually pick up the mantle.

What made Old Vice was real raw stories, with incredible sources, taking cameras where cameras haven't been before, incredible important stories. Not necessarily edgy content, but conflicts that many don't think about, a new perspective on the mainstream narrative, neither left or right leaning, just pure curiosity driven journalism. Like said in the video, it wasn't in the mind to make a news story, more like, finding out what this whole thing was about. Which shows that they used to go into these places with an open unbiased mindset. In the current world where both the left leaning media and the right leaning media is bought and payed for by billionaires and special interest groups, we need unbiased journalism that tries to show the truth.

The Vice lineup at any given point is as follows: Bullshit pseudoscience clickbait, whichever drug they've decided they really like this month so we get a 10th video about it, attempts at viral videos (like saying yes to everything people say to do), and then filled in by 10 minute videos about random topics that aren't interesting enough to do a full documentary on. Yes, some of those filler videos will be on progressive topics but let's not pretend that Vice is giving them the same attention they would have in the past. They have to make another dozen videos about redneck shamans dispensing hallucinogens from a RV and don't have the time anymore.

VICE sold out when it had money and legal issues. Happens to companies all the time. Not sure why you are so adamant that Disney owning part of the company couldn't impact it it, but its kind of a bad take. Name a company with investors, and you have named a company that doesnt want to piss those people off. Thats how it works.

Its probably because they never unsubscribed and the video thumbnail has a comment that most people agree with so they clicked on it. That's what happened with me. I don't watch anything they post unless its war shit. I saw the thumbnail and immediately clicked hoping they'd address it. They are not the same as they used to be. It's a shame.
