Really nice review. I wish I bought the Tech XL, I have the Tech LC. The LC carries a bunch of tools but it gets a little to cramped for my style. I ended up getting the TP3 to hold the most common stuff and it just clips to the side of the LC. Anyway, really enjoying your videos. Thanks for the tips as well.

Hey, was wondering the size of your bigger klein insulated flat. Looks to be around 5/16? Also, would love to hear how you are finding the tech lc with TP4 setup vs. the XL. I just bought the XL, the weight is getting up there already but I can't imagine how I would fit everything I need into the LC. I don't do all that much service work so the XL seems to work ok but I hope I don't regret not getting a smaller bag and forcing myself to pack less tools. Would love to see a vid on your LC/TP4 hybrid setup if you ever feel so inclined!

I'm a maintenance Journeyman Electrician myself. I have a Husky Roller bag for my main tools and a suspender tool rig. I like the idea of this bag but can't see myself working out of a bag without my tools on my body. I've been on a lot of new construction jobs where that applies too. You have to wear your tools. The only way I could see using a bag would be with the addition of a tool belt. But there is no need for duplicated tools like you'd have. Good idea. It is almost like these up and coming electricians who use backpacks now. I guess there is a time and place for a tool bag or tool belt. Just depends on which job your on. Explain to where you use this setup. Thanks.

Is that Craftsman socket set impact rated? You mentioned you have a 3/8" impact-to-socket adapter later in the video. If you use normal stainless steel sockets on your impact, you risk them fracturing and causing injury.

I know this is a 2 year old comment but I’m gonna comment anyway. I’m stuck between the Tech XL and the Tech pac/book bag. I like the thought of the book bag but could only use it for my most used tools. There’s no way it’ll hold all my Electrical Handtools like the Tech XL. Plus I already have a small collapsible cart if I needed to roll it to a jobsite. My of the times I keep it in the gangbox on the jobsite

In all honesty, - are electricans more apt to purchase VDE screwdrivers? - or do electrician just tape up or shrink wrap their Klein screwdrivers? Really curious about this. Thanks for the video!

BlastReadingSeries a combination of both depends how and how often you would have to use it most circuits are off these days anyway before being worked on due to modern safety standards so its usually just a precaution it is nice to have though

Thanks for the reply. It's much appreciated. I didn't know it was an "acceptable" (and obviously) questionable practice to do that to your screwdrivers. The VDE screwdrivers are so expensive so I can't blame anyone for cutting corners. I'm going to shrink wrap some Kleins for those moments when I need to do something I shouldn't be doing! :)

BlastReadingSeries its certainly not legal and questionable but its nice to have in certain moments which are pretty sketchy at best anyway I usually use commercial electric or milwaukee insulated ones since their pretty cheap to keep spares saved but sometimes its not whats on hand plus heat shrink and tape makes good marks to tell which Klein is your Klein thats why I usually do it more than anything

You must have some idea of what you'll be getting into on a particular day. I divide my stuff up into 4 cheap tool boxes - new installations, trouble shooting, heavy tools and something I call specials (one of a kind, small, magnets, etc). This is a nice bag and tools but geez I wonder how many times he's said to himself "damn it everything but spline wrenches!" you just can not prepare for ALL occasions...

With a normal tote style bag if you cant fit a hacksaw use a vice grips to clamp it to the outside.

Its a dump pouch. You can go to most military surplus stores and they would have them.
