I've seen my favorite KZreadrs talking about it and sponsoring it and I thought (and still think) that it is fishy and for how low the price for the items were. I know you can get really cool and high-quality items for a really low price, but it's the business that's fishy to me.

From what I heard MANY of the items are not high quality at all. And they come from China from the cheapest factories. China's quality and safety standards are way lower than EU and US and it's basically impossible to hold the seller accountable for anything. Some of the stuff sold from China is just straight up hazardous.

Everyone should remember the age old rule: If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

It's naive to assume all people that fall for scams must be dumb, otherwise that wouldn't happen. If the scam looks too obvious for you, then it wasn't made for you. Scammers usually target people who are not tech savvy or are in bad financial situations and so on.

For Temu, I just go there for the stationary set, stickers, and pretty pens bc amazon or swapmeet tend to charge you 2x or 3x times. I bought a big bag of plastic empty rollers (~30 pieces) for sewing machine for 2/3 dollars where in Walmart I only get 3/4 rollers for 5 dollars.

i remembered my friend from school who haven't really talked to me if a minute, suddenly come out of the void asking me for "help" and i was wondering why they was asking for help they then tell me to download temu, i didnt know about temu at the time it happened. but when i installed it. the way the app looked made me not like want to be on it and i didnt like how it felt and i uninstalled it. then my friend just vanished after and i was very confused, and i swear to god when i uninstalled i was bombarded by temu ads, the way temu ads are is very scummy looking

I have over 200 “free gift boxes” that Temu has sent me in my notifications. Holy crap talk about spam notifications.
