    I never know whether or not I love Dumble pedal sounds or find them too rich in the mids. It depends on the amp ofc, if it's a clean Fender generally no problem. But they like to be played LOUD. I've never managed to get great sounds from Dumble pedals at lower volumes. I know it's Vertex (great stuff) but I am quite fond of my Jetter Jetdrive.

    Joe Rozmanassa the HRM has a parallel mix via the “ratio” knob blending the direct versus distorted signal. To my knowledge we’re the only company that actually had multiple Dumble amps side by side to voice the pedal and multiple generations of them. • @tylerdinner6673

    Someone once said Dumble lead tones have a slight hoarseness & volume swell before the attack. That's sadly missing from all these pedals. Seemed to be missing some of the trademark harmonics too, but hard to tell when most of the playing is thru the neck pickup.

    Besides exploiting the Dumble name, what do these pedals have to do with Dumble? The certainly don't have Dumble's circuits in them, and the tones in this video don't sound anything like tones I've heard from Dumble amps. There was a lot of name dropping in this video: Ford, Carlton, SRV, Mayer - but no tones that sounded anything like what those players get from their Dumble amps.

    What's the clean tone? You went right into the first pedal and we didn't hear the base tone. Hearing with a humbucker loaded guitar would be have helped for us that generally don't play with single coils. Danny is a great player no doubt.

    Ahh, the most famous Dumble users are single coil guys. Ford, Mayer, SRV, Me. Lol

  • @jamesemerson4102

    @jamesemerson4102

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Musicsports Robben Ford mainly used and does use humbucking pickups. So does Larry Carlton... so I am not really sure what you mean there. The overdrive special sound as far as I am concerned was made famous by these players. Joe Bonamassa is another one that uses humbuckers into an ods. Mayer and SRV mainly used the Steel String Singer which suits a single coil sound. So it just depends on which Dumble model that we are talking about. The steel string singer is a clean amp with very mild drive. It was commonly used by SRV and Mayer with a tube screamer in front to produce more gain.
