It might be because, from my understanding, it was shot to be an R rated movie and then got down graded to a PG-13. Not sure, but I know what you mean. Definitely would of liked to see an R rated psychological horror/thriller Venom movie!

Venom had about 30% of its scenes cut or heavily edited to remove gore and the darker tone it was gonna be R rated but sony wanted pg-13 around the time filming ended and alot of the editing and sfx where done remember when venom bit that guys head off? His neck hole was supposed to be pouring blood.

Ok but really speaking What was TEASED here exactly? It’s shots of Tom Hardy walking around, generic action shots and the MRI bit. That’s it. I know teasers shouldn’t give everything away, but this exists at the opposite end of the spectrum of showing NOTHING.
