As a Blackburn fan, I watch this in what can only be described as a sadness that fills the heart. Years of frustration and turmoil have plagued Rovers fans from poor club management to relegation from the Barclay's Premier League. Management lies and agent involvement have made the club a laughing stock and turned the media against us honest fans. Then I remember it could be worse, I could be a Burnley fan.

I'm a Portsmouth fan and was disgusted at what happened to Blackburn. My club suffered at the hands of serious mismanagement and to see another proud and traditional club torn apart was sad. What Venkys have done to Rovers is a disgrace. The sooner the that they sell up and get out of our club the better. As a Liverpool fan who went thru something similar with our former Yank Cowboy owners leading us to being 2 hrs away from bankruptcy, I feel huge sympathy for Blackburn & its fans. I have some idea of how you feel and what you're going thru and your club and their fans do not deserve it I was at Anfield the day Rover's and the King won the Premier League, thus preventing the Mancs from winning a third on the spin, and the celebrations that went on by all in Anfield that day, I will never forget

Very nicely done. As an outsider with only a minor fascination for clubs rotting away, this gave nice concize assessment.

Even as a Bolton fan I feel sorry for the fans of Blackburn Rovers, seeing our biggest rival being run so shambolically is a real shame. It could so easily have been us or another club.

Probably the most secure we've ever been just before Venky's came in the top division even when Uncle Jack was here we was up and down. We had a great foundation built in every aspect of the club. What hurts the most for me is the fact that they've not only destroyed our club but a massive asset for our town, now our only source of income from visitors is our half decent shopping center. Don't be surprised if half the businesses in Ewood close down, it's a joke that they're allowed to do this.

Not an accurate comparison to make really. City are spending with no view to sustainability - Blackburn assembled that squad for about 25m (while united spent more!) and sold on Shearer and Sutton for 20m alone. We won the league and made our money back within 5 years! If Jack Walker had stayed in good health, who knows where we would be now. .

the 91-92 seasons saw them at thier best,they showed gritty determination,a real passion to work thier way up under dalglish it was magic,the team was great to watch.after the prem win it seemed money was more important,and foreign influence has wrecked it,the dream died in may 92

Whether Sean Dyche stays or goes we'll still be in the premier league next season while you'll still be in league one. And if Sean Dyche does go we will all thank him for what he's done for our football club and move on, and I'm pretty sure we'll be looking at a better quality manager than Tony Mowbray.

4evarovers Without trying to be rude or patronising, clubs like Burnley aren't supposed to win trophies on a regular basis. Pretty sure Burnley have a play-off trophy from Wembley in 2009. What about Blackburn's last one mate? (Taking into account I don't support either.)

We won the Lancashire Senior Cup in 2011. 2002 League Cup last proper top-level one. To be fair to us we aren't meant to either. We also have much better recent history than them.

This documentary could have been so much more, with a little bit of informative narrative and footage to break up the interviews (that is taking into account rights issues, of course). Dry interviews, with lots of good content, were not really done a lot of justice- and no real insight into who the people are that were speaking was really given.

jeez, that is a mess too. even a documentary about darlington would be interesting too. both are sad stories.

I dont wonna pay tax just to be invested in some football club. If individual club ownership ruins the game, then fans should invest in the club, but I dont think that the whole community would have to pay for it. Why not then not to invest in tennis or cricket or something else

Really good documentary, I am surprised that the owners allowed shebby to talk in the documentary I'm also surprised that he's so much of a dbag.

If only there could legal suits brought against Jerome Anderson and Steve Kean for money laundering. They mislead Venkys who were naive and had little knowledge about running a football club. We got a fairly transparent CEO in Steve Waggot & Good manager in Mowbray . I hope Venkys have learnt from their mistake and keep supporting us as a club and help us reach premiere league where we should be!

As long as you win games no one cares who owns the club or how it is run, if you lose everything is up for criticism.

Glasgow Rangers,Hearts,Dunfermline,Dundee (twice),Motherwell,Gretna the list goes on and on in Scotland, clubs over reaching and leaving themselves open to inscrutable individuals who think short term gain and the vicious cycle continues in some cases until clubs die. Scottish Football is dealing with a massive 90's spending hangover and may take yrs to right itself. This should be a warning to English clubs, a financial hangover is coming, and it wants paid.

If Sean Dyche ever leaves that will knock you back 5 years straight off, for example. And you’re still a small club, it’s not like this makes you bigger in any way. the guy running leicester isn't spending but they have improved under him. the training facilities look top notch, youth coaching top notch and they are producing youth players since that owner took over leicester they have gone from relegation to top 4 this is why leicester can attract top managers despite not spending.

They were mid table in the premiership when the Venkys took over.

It's decent but not very telling either, I would say the odd zoom in and zoom out elements were distracting. I'm not also convinced that getting a mirror journalist and mail can be considered professional opinions (given the mirror paper itself had a cover saying why kean should be manager of the year) Besides their wrong that people would had been gone long ago if they had steve kean's record. Brian kidd did a lot worse. The only thing I will say that is outrageous about what the venkys did is their lack of regard to employment rights, such as Mr Berg took them to court over. Their almost as bad as Mike Ashley in that aspect.

I’m only 10 minutes in to this & the more I’m getting annoyed, Venkys know nothing about football. Go buy some cricket team closer to your home….

League One and counting. Check back in May 2018. Surely League Two is too much? We'll see. Not a good start to league One so far! I haven't been since the first match after sacking Kean. I thought they had realised, but turned out to be a false dawn. Just what will make them go is anyone's guess, but I fear going out of business is where they will take this. AFC Blackburn Rovers seams more likely than at any point in the clubs history. The debt and lack of talent on the books with no one coming through the acedemy to the first team are serious concerns.

Gordon Taylor (13:36) complete joke, the guy is on over half a million a year (more than PM David Cameron in take home pay) and sits there like he can't do anything about it. The guy couldn't care less if a team like Blackburn Rovers goes under, and him and his type are cancers killing the beautiful game.

Well before Jack Walker Blackburn were mediocre team with no great prospects.I blame jack Walker for starting the big hike in transfer fees and also wages,he started the ball rolling with trying to buy success at any cost of course he was a Blackburn lad and loved the club but it had a knock on effect. The football game used to be a working class sports but now its moving away from that...The football fans are being charged silly amounts of hard earned cash just to watch un loyal football players play that are earning weekly wages that are more than fans are earning in a year. Small clubs like Blackburn can not compete with Big fashionable city clubs by shear numbers of town/city population unless a billion air takes them on as a hobby/plaything or tax haven. Football as far as a working mans sport (which it was) has gone. In my opinion it is ruined and the changes in recent years has made the game a sham. The beautiful game is now a rich mans playing field and is no longer an even ish playing field.Burnley must be credited for what they have done with little money and are not in debt all be it a very small town its been about good sensible management.Having said that its still bloomin expensive to go and watch LONG LIVE THE CLARRETS
