Venice Carnival 2023 is taking place from 4th to 21st February 2023, and excitement for Venice Carnival is already on as people from all over the world gear up to witness the colorful and vibrant spectacle that is the Venice Carnival. The theme of Venice Carnival 2023 is 'Take your time for the Original signs'.
During the Venice Carnival, St. Mark's Square is transformed into a vibrant and colorful scene, as performers, street artists, and musicians take to the square to entertain the crowds. Participants in the carnival also flock to the square, dressed in elaborate costumes and masks, to be a part of the festive atmosphere.
This festival dates back to the 11th century and has been a celebrated event for over a thousand years. The Venice Carnival is known for its elaborate masks, ornate costumes, and stunning parades that take place throughout the city.

Люди умеют создавать себе праздничное настроение, не мало сил тратя на это. У нас же хватает сил только заглядывать за чужой забор и завидовать. Хотя многим есть что скрывать под масками.

Vielen Dank fürs Zuschauen und schön, dass es Ihnen gefallen hat. Diese wunderschönen Kleider sind wirklich wunderbar und einzigartig. Allerdings habe ich bei den örtlichen Straßenhändlern nur eine Gesichtsmaske gekauft, die mich rund 20 Euro gekostet hat. Leider weiß ich nicht, wie viel ein Kleid kostet und wo man es in Venedig am besten kaufen kann. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dass es in Venedig viele empfehlenswerte Orte geben sollte.

Danke👍🏽😊 Ich informiere mich jetzt schon. Ich möchte kein zu billiges Kostüm haben. Aber 800 Euro bis 1000 Euro und mehr würde es einfach zu teuer für mich sein. Es ist einfach ein Traum von mir sowas schönes mal zu tragen. Habe gegoogelt in München gibt es ein Geschäft wo so etwas wertige barocke Kleider verleihen und sogar verkaufen. Ich hoffe sehr dass ich da für mich was passendes finde. Aber ein Traum wäre es ein richtiges pompöses traditionelles Kleid aus Venedig zu tragen.

@the.traveler How often do you go to watch the festivities? I really appreciate that you took the time to video and post it! How many days do people get dressed up? I'm also curious about the way Venice has gorgeous, classy clothing.....but carnivale in Brazil is the opposite. They hardly wear any clothes. I enjoy the style of Venice much more than New Orleans (USA) and Brazil!

I visit Venice Carnival every year. This year too this starts from 27th January and will continue until mid of February. You too can visit there at this time to see this beautiful dress and masks. The Venice centre looks gorgeous during this period.

@the.traveler I'm always in awe of the handmade, detailed paper maché masks and the clothes that the professional models wear. If only I could sew or have money to buy a dress! Halloween used to be my favorite holiday but for the past 15 years, Carnival is my favorite. Do people in Venice throw beads like the US?

Yes, absolutely. These masks are really beautiful and are sold all across the streets for around 15 Euros. But some masterpieces from creative artists can cost around 200 Euros or more.
