this is one the few comedic sketches about our situation that is actually funny and respectful, and the fact that Fred Armisen is half venezuelan makes it come out of a place of respect and not mockery like other shows have done

we all love to hear from the person in the room who knows what's going on. the man with the most confidence can sell the whole world and bring peace to the masses. ..but that's just it; that's the con. our own egos know nothing beyond what we know, and blindness is around every corner. don't believe the con artists.

In 2019 Armisen made fun of people who debate issues using sound bytes.

As a Venezuelan, the tall white guy is EXACTLY everyone in the U.S when we mention anything about Venezuela. Clueless. Having said that, I have found a new love for Fred Armisen and his love for representing our country situation in the funniest of ways. Sir, I love you.

But they clearly have a bias and don’t back it up with facts. I don’t think young people realize that tv is brainwashing their political views. This clip about Venezuela was so wrong but they want young people to think Venezuela is somehow not impoverished. What they forgot to add about Venezuela is that poverty is 80% and people are eating rats and dogs to survive.
