I was literally about to replace my speakers, then ran into your vid. Got my panel off, ripped that little bugger off and cranked up the radio.....FIXED!!! What a life saver man! Wish i could give it 5 thumbs up! Cheers!

This was the exact reason I was looking to remove my door panel. I can clearly hear that the speaker itself isn't blown but the rattling of the dust cap makes it sound terrible. I've already taken my car in once and had the passenger one replaced under the warranty luckily but it was just the same issue. Now my driver one is out and this will make it a lot easier and save me the time. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the video! Just bought a Veloster, and saw something bouncing around and chattering with the base. The passenger door little cover completely came of and the driver door is making a slight sound. This should clear it all up!

I’m just wondering how you got the lil cap off? Did you just use your hands or a knife or maybe a heat gun? Wondering because I don’t want to damage the speaker itself with a knife

Mine fell off inside the door do to heat so heat gun may be the best bet but I'm not saying it will work check out some videos on how to rebuild speakers mite get some good ideas from there

From what I understand you dont but do to the typ of system in our cars it will cause a cancellation problem but I also installed a 2way speaker and kept the factory tweeter hooked up and cant tell the difference just my opinion

LOL. The same thing happened to my speakers! The dustcaps popped off with the bass. Dimension Audio needs to make better quality speakers. :/ By the way, what size are those speakers? I have a pair of 8" but I don't know if they will fit.

Hi, I bought JBL speakers they were 120 for 2. I want to put them in myself, but I really don't want to ruin my car doors, I see how to take them off, I have a 2013 hyundai veloster. I just wasn't sure if you had any advice, I just don't want to get the door panel off and then not be able to pop it back on. Is it worth it or should I just return the speakers? Any tips?

Most of the time the fall off and once you take the door panels off you'll see the dust cover somewhere

Turn the power off that dinging drives me crazy
