Fun fact: I’m 51 years old and I just started my academic journey to obtain my Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Last semester I scored a 4.0, in College Algebra. This semester I’m maintaining a 99.67% average in trigonometry. I also have four more semesters of calculus(Calculus 1-calculus 4) and Calculus based physics after this semester. I’m currently at the community college level but if all goes well, I should be transferring to Mississippi State University’s Bagley School Of Engineering within the next two years. I worked in the electrical industry for approximately 30 years as a helper/apprentice. I never achieved Journeymans level. I guess I was too distracted by other things at the time to study for the exam and get the license…. Lol Keep up the good work. I love watching your videos and I love your enthusiasm. You inspire me as well. God bless 🙏

As I was working on my associates for carpentry I worked as a drywall/steel framing laborer then as a controls tech then an HVAC mechanic. Now I work as a carpenter for a women owned home improvement company. Though I love my job, my heart is in controls, so I have applied for an apprenticeship in the electrical trade. I got tons of bits and have been searching for a case like this for yearsssss. Thanks for the incredible content :)

A fun fact about electricity is that it travels at the speed of light, which is approximately 186,282 miles per second (299,792 kilometers per second) in a vacuum. So, when you flip a light switch, the electrons carrying the electrical current move incredibly quickly!

Tools... I just (today even) bought the Ideal Heavy Duty Long Nose Wire Strippers, and the Ideal Forged Heavy Duty Wire Stripper - there is some difference in the range of what each does... the second goes to #8 solid... I haven't even taken them out of the packaging yet, but I'll be trying them out tomorrow to see how I like them. I like the notion that they are WAY thicker and beefier than the standard thin wire strippers which always seem to twist and warp on me, and they have a slightly wider range than the equivalent (thick) Kleins (and I usually buy Klein when they make something). do you own either the Kleins or the ideals? If so, how do you like them?
