Europe has best rules! Car fitness is tested after 4 years of purchase, after which every 2 years until the car is 10 years old. After 10 years, every year. Diesel, petrol, hybrid or electric, if car cannot pass fitness test, you can't drive the car. If the car is fit you can drive for even 50 years no problems. This is sad news for Toyota Reliability lovers, in India!

Government can never understand the love a car guy shares with his car. I have a 2013 Skoda Rapid 1.6 TDI and i love that car a lot..I will never be able to see her getting scrapped.. Government should understand that there is an emotional connection which people share with their cars.

Sadly none of these rules apply to car owners of Delhi/NCR. We are all being forced to sell our cars & upgrade to higher model because of 10 year rule..

Due to this majority of people will avoid purchasing high price vehicles say above 30 lakhs because re-sale value is going to drop drastically even if you sell it after 7-8 years then the second owner too have to face the consequence driving it till 15 years. If re register the car after 15 years it is going to be for 5 years only then that car value is going to be 40-60K depending on the price of that car.😢

@@AlexAlex-gs1xh MG ZS EV is also cheaper but couldn't match the luxury and upmarket Ioniq 5 But still ev's are a bit expensive especially whose range are good enough.

My question to govt. Its a shame that at the time of purchase of new vahicle comman man pay so much taxes and all on the other hand after scrapping govt is giving silly rebate which hardly make any differance in price. I would never choose such benefits which are actually not benefits. If such kind of policies keep on implementing over us in NCR region that day is nearby when govt will say "you have to die because we cant control population and polution"

Hello Vikram Sir, Please help with the following query. My cars RC has been Blacklisted by Karnataka RTO as I have not paid the Road Tax here in Karnataka, when I checked with local RTO agents they collected my invoice & shared with RTO officer. RTO Officer charged 14% Road Tax for 15 Years on my 12 Year old Vehicle. Now they are asking for approx 2 Lacks to remove Blacklist status as they want 15 yrs road tax to be paid in Karnataka. My car is a Gurgaon Registered, can I get a NOC on a Blacklisted RC/ Locked RC as reflecting on the MPARIVAHAN App. It is a DIESEL Vehicle with HR26 Registraton and is approx 12 Yrs Old. Please also suggested if we can SCRAP a Blacklisted Vehicle.
