Nice video! I created a separate installer for each version of VEGAS Pro today. Makes it a bit easier. btw the presets are community provided. i.e. the x264/x265 presets were provided by the user iAvoe. I - as the developer - can just guess what these huge blocks of config options really do.

Dude, this is the best solution I could find. I've spent so much time trying to fix that Vegas issue where it renders a black 0-byte video when you crank up the bitrate above 20000 using MAGIX AVC/HEVC and NVENC (other settings options that do not have NVENC simply don't allow using the GPU for rendering, only the CPU). Huge thanks to you and the plugin creators, seriously grateful that this video isn't clickbait. And seeing the Ukrainian flag in the plugin brought a smile, 'cause I'm from Ukraine myself and my region is under occupation

Awesome tutorial, thanks! Recently purchased the RTX 3080Ti and this video helped me find perfect settings. Managed to get the rendering time down to 1.2 minutes for each minute rendered.

for 10:00 one great thing about .MKV is that you can play a video file while it's rendering / after it crashed, unlike MP4s which can corrupt if you're rendering a project and want a "final" peak matroska is a no-brainer

Awesome video! Do you know if there is an option to select a bunch of photos and trim them all at the same time?

If you ever intend to bring the rendered AVC file back into Vegas set the maximum GOP size as 1 to 2x the framerate, not 20x as it is here (so 24fps would be max of 48 vs 480). Vegas struggles to playback long GOPs.

Could you do a video on how to stack up or use the various 3D render passes rendered from a 3D application like blender/3dsmax/Keyshot. Example lighting passes, zdepth, cryptomatte and etc.

WOW! Just what I needed, I'm running VP20.411 and am about to install Voukoder. Have a new AMD Radeon RX 7600XT. Quick question, you copied some files and folders from a previous install on VP19 to get the Voukoder presets to show up in VP20. I have never installed Voukoder before, what will I need to do for VP20?

Whenever I upload a 1:1 (1080x1080p) video, the best quality option that Facebook gives me is 640p but when watching other pages, they have the option of going up to 1080p with 1:1 aspect ratio for the video quality. Do you know the best render settings/bitrate/quality for Facebook videos on a 1:1 aspect ratio? Thanks.

Hey! Installed this for Vegas 20 pro but I'm not seeing the option. I see the voukoder under the vegas 20 folder & the file i/o folder but no option within Vegas 20 Pro after closing & opening it. Any thoughts or do you have a troubleshooting video?

I directly download the files from the site voudoker, then i copy/paste them in the files you mentioned, but whenever i try to do rendering, Vegas Pro 20 is crashing, why ? I didn't get the files from Vegas Pro 19 because i dont have it, i tried to install it and search for the files but there's none. So ? What do i have to do ? I have an old i7 7700k and an RTX 3060 Ti + 24GB RAM DDR4

How do you get rid of banding, it only appear when I render something out and not in the preview or originals shots.

One thing I noticed when rendering in vegas pro using voukoder is that the rendered video, after being uploaded to youtube, doesn't have 480p. There's something wrong with the transcoding, I guess. Hopefully, there's a fix to this.

youtube’s maximum compresion is 50mil

I just installed this. Followed your instructions and voukoder is not showing in my render formats. Both files in in the Vegas folders.

I am having a problem with Vegas Pro 20 crashing each time I select RENDER AS. I had previously had Vergas Pro 15 installed and followed the steps mentioned in the video and reset my Options to Default ALL to check but still no progress. Thanks for any assistance.

Following up: I just opened Vegas Pro 15 and I was able to see the Voukoder preset in the Render As dialogs. Also, I am running the latest version of Vegas Pro 20 (Build 403). Thanks again.

UPDATE! I found that there are updated connector files for VEGAS Pro 20. I just tried the install and everything worked! Thanks so much for pointing me to this resource, much appreciated. Joyfully yours!

Didn't work for me. Unfortunately I have worse results. Quality is better to regular Magix AVC that I'm more confident using but output video only plays in VLC with artifacts, audio is not synced and some video files are not present. Maybe is the CQP. Will look further into it. Edit1: Is something related with Voukoder NVENC (H264). Tried like 10 different settings, all with the same issue. Decided to change Encoder and not happening at all with NVENC AV1

it didnt' work on my computer. and I just bought vegas pro 20. can you help me please.

I installed Voukoder but when I ran Vegas 20 build 403 the splash screen appeared, started loading then froze. I uninstalled Voukoder now Vegas starts properly. Any suggestions?

Getting super annoyed by Vegas, as I've been unable to render a 3 minute video during the last 4 hours. I'm about to download voukoder, but why/what about it is better than the vegas internals?

Why it always render in 30 fps for me?

It would be helpful if you show actual footage made with this codec to actually see best quality.

it appears that someone has duped your video. Btw it actually works about half the render time and it seems like it is roughly the same quality as it used to be. Only downside is that the file is bigger but i can live with that

No, it depends on the settings. You can actually get more compact file sizes though it takes longer to render like that. Watch the CRFs carefully. For x264 21 is default, 17 is a lot more data. Higher than 21 is less data.
