So, merphy did review of this chapter as well. What i found interesting is that dr. Vegapunk was an amalgamation of icarus (the one who got wings) and his father (the one who created the wings). He's so naive and has big dream (like icarus), but also so genius, even the world suffers from his creations, and got punished by his own invention (like icarus father)
