    Hey. I'll be turning 40 in November and decided that veganism is going to be my birthday present to myself. However, I also want to be able to cook my children meals that they will enjoy as well.     Nathan Maroney really the only non kid friendly food is anything that’s too spicy or will choke them. Keep offering it until they eat exactly what you do

    My twins have been vegan since they were 3. I just tone done spice, more pasta or rice and veggies they enjoy like brocolli peas corn carrots sweet potato.

    For a super low fat version of curry I usually use the coconut flavoured soymilk from Alpro and use a little bit of cornstarch to thicken it. :)

    Date sugar, Coconut sugar, doesn't really matter, they're both sugar, just a different taste. Better off with raw honey, or Xylitol as your sweetener. Bananas can get mushy fast if cooked too much. Better off using plantains. Cubans down here in Miami use green plantains to fry with. You can also use cactus.

    I love couscous with vegetables It is the traditional dish of the "Berber" Kabyle region❤️ You can even make couscous with a mixture of peanuts, almonds, cashews ... With raisins and accompanied with curdled milk, it is a real delight. It's good, it's healthy💪❤️

    Happy Pear Indian Curry 1 bunch scallions diced on bias ½ thumb sized ginger ½ a chili 2 diced red peppers 1 pinch of salt Broccoli stalk finely diced 2 cups broccoli florets 2 tbsp curry powder 3 tbsp coconut cream 400 ml vegetable stock (add broccoli at end) Taste for seasoning Splash of tamari Squeeze of lemon or lime (or tiny splash of vinegar) Hummus 1 can chickpeas 2 tbsp tahini 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp coarse salt flakes Juice of 1 lemon 1 tbsp of cumin (depending on taste) Add water as required

    Thanks for showing that good, healthy food isn't so expensive. We just weren't taught the right stuff when I was growing up. Looking forward to more. I made black bean hummus yesterday. It's so much better than store bought.

    Made the Pittas for lunch today, absolutely delicious. I've been vegetarian for over a year now and I've always really been struggling to have a diet that's higher in fibre, and just end up eating crap because i get hungry. the recipes in this video are sure to help with filling me up at meal times!

    I have been using your recipes from the recipes for happiness and everything I’ve made has been DILICIOUS and ridiculously easy. I love how you guys aren’t scared to use oil or salt or fats, just healthy nutritious but really tasty food. Super accessible for family’s too!

    @@elmhaven the first recipe was just like the recipe a couple of days ago, except he added coconut milk and broth. That recipe called for beans. That previous recipe he used chick peas but black beans for this recipe.

    If you add some of the aquafaba from the chickpeas (the liquid in the can) to the hummus, it make it creamy. Love this meal prep! My kind of food!

    the aqua faba (boiling water of the chickpeas) is a wonderful emulsifier for the hommus. It ,makes it incredibly creamy and intensifies the flavour ;) Thanks for a lovely video

    I think the broccoli would be good for longer if you'd blanch it before freezing, just for people who want it to keep good for even longer

    I bought my fave roasted red pepper hummus, rest as outlined and oh my that sandwich is delicious. No small pitas to be found so had to halve regular size one. It's messy but too tasty to care.

    Love the simplicity of your meals! Yes, I did notice the red kidney beans as you were dishing it up...😂😂😻 I guess this just makes us all think outside the box and add whatever beans you choose on the day ...the thing I got out of this one the most was the small tin of coconut milk! Love that idea! Btw...have you ever eaten a pita after 3 days? Not sure how these would go? I pre pack 6 days of food for hubby as he travels away in a truck 6 days and home for 3 ....so I’m always looking for great prepping meals! Yours are fantastic! Thank you 🙏

    The point is to eat sugar early in the day so you don't crave it in the afternoon or evening when you're less active. But eat whatever works for you. I also don't like sweet breakfasts.

    Lovely meal plan! I wonder about the Broccoli straight in the freezer? Wouldn't the enzymes continue to break down without blanching? I believe it would have to be blanched and quick chilled then straight in the freezer.

    I always cook 3 days worth of oatmeal ( porridge) and warm it in the microwave the next time! Warms beautifully !

    That curry is not Indian. we never use vegetable stock, most of us don't even know that such a thing exists. nonetheless the recipe seems nice and healthy instead of our original oily curry.

    i cant believe how cheap vegetables are where you live. That head of Broccoli would have been several dollars where i live. Junk food and meats are cheaper then fresh Veg and fruit, it's so frustrating. I love the curry recipe, I cant wait to make that myself!
