Vegan Steamed Fu Pei Guen - Tofu Skin Rolls
(Makes about 5)
Filling:
3/4 cup Textured Vegetable Protein (1/4 cup un-crushed, 1/2 cup crushed) (amzn.to/2DH9lWj)
2 tablespoons chickpea flour (amzn.to/2FmHn2h)
1/4 cup vegan prawns - very well minced
3 tablespoons bamboo shoots, chopped (amzn.to/2GqHtaH
)
1-2 spring onions (white parts only) minced (2-3 tablespoons)
1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free soy sauce (amzn.to/2Fqc4Ul
)
(Double Fermented: amzn.to/2Gq02M4
)
1/4 tsp of white pepper (amzn.to/2DQZujL
)
1 tsp of sesame oil amzn.to/2GqgonI
a dash of Chinese cooking wine (amzn.to/2FnSRTa
)
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1.5 tablespoons of corn flour
1 sheet fresh tofu skin, cut into 5 - 8x8-inch square (Dried version: amzn.to/2GpNnc2
)
Sauce:
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon of garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste
1 cup of vegetable stock
2 teaspoons vegetarian oyster sauce (amzn.to/2FoWUP3

1 tablespoon cornstarch

    Thank you for this recipe! I've been looking for a vegetarian beancurd skin roll recipe for my brother who is vegetarian. Most of the ones out there use a pretty standard vegetable filling similar to the one you might put in a dumpling or spring roll, which is tasty but not really the same texture/experience as the usual meat filling for beancurd roll. This filling looks great!

    Hello! I came across your KZread channel a couple of weeks ago and am LOVING it! Thanks so much for putting so much time and love into your recipes and videos. Since becoming vegan three years ago, I've found so many great veganized versions of my favourite...except for Japanese cotton cheesecake and xiao long bao! So, THANK YOU for the xiao long bao recipe - I will definitely try it soon! Maybe you can tackle Japanese cotton cheesecakes one day...? :)

    oh, PLEEEEEAAAAAASE tell me the name of the song/music that you used for this video. It took me 10 minutes to pay attention to what you were saying, because the music had me dancing! LOL I want that music at my wedding reception. Please tell me the name of it. Also, i did enjoy your video and instruction as well. I'll be trying this very soon with my soy tofu wraps/skins.
