I find it strange that they didn't find an actual FINN to play a FINN. But this does follow the age old rule that whenever Finns or Finland are depicted in a series or movies, it always have to be kinda "off", like the people cannot really crasp what Finland is like.. There might be a Finn with a horrible Swedish or German accent, or in this case; with I-have-no-idea-what-this-is accent. Otherwise, a great show.

MnikM doesnt make sense how? Are u american? If u are, then it’s very easy to understand the joke. Finnish usually take everything literally. Here’s an example, “hi mr. watson”. then mr. watson, whose full name is john watson, who wants to establish some kind of proximity with the other party as in tries to be friendly instead of formal, says to the other person “call me john” instead of mr. watson. he means next time dont be so formal with him, but this person takes that literally and actually CALLS him john right at that moment. thats the joke.

Shinkajo. Besides the language Finns doesn't differ much from the rest of Scandinavia. Everyone seems to forget that Finland was a part of Sweden for 600 years and that Finland kept much of that common heritage during the Russian occupation. The retracing of unique Finnishness came with romantic national ideals in the end if the 19 th century. Also Finns are the biggest immigrant group in Sweden and there is no way you could tell their ethnical background besides a small accent.
