,,,but a better mould for future acrylic platters would eliminate this problem with ease. Approx 0.5 mm extra area growth is needed to get a snug no play fit. Which is not alot but certainly more than enough to knock the wheel off center without it. Peace.

Word of warning if you do self service, which I did, then when replacing the jog wheel post service ie screwing them back onto the unit then you have to get the plates dead center if you do not like off center spin back. The spin back sound is not affected neither is the scratching but only the actual platter as it spins will look wobbly/off center. Be gentle and patient and centralie the acrylic plate and alu touch plate and hold down with your fingers with a little pressure then, cont..

I have the VCI 300 MK1, and there is an issue with the right deck tempo fader. It indicates 0, not in the middle like it does on the left side. The green LED lights up when the fader is two sections above from the center. Have you ever experienced this kind of error?

cont..put two screws into the platter and spin it. You will see instantly if the platter is off center or not. If it is off center then take the two screws back out and attempt to centralize again...you will get it right so don't worry. My first self service and it took two or three attempts before patience won and the platters were cenrtalized. This is due to a very small ammount of play in the platter fitting onto the motor which is an engineerreing shortcoming. No offence to Vestax but..

Hi, i have a problem with the two sensitivity adjustments that controls the platter or jog wheels. It stops from playing when i touch the jog wheel. How can i solve this problem

It sounds like it's still sensitive to touch, but not to the position of the platter. My guess is that you may have an issue with that optical sensor that he tells you not to disturb. I would check the wires that go to the sensor to make sure that everything is hooked up correctly.

great video, thanks, but i have a question for you. I only use my vestax mci-300MKII a couple of time so i know there shouldnt be dust or dirt inside, but from day one i had a problem with the left jog wheel. the seneitivity is off. It dont turn red when i touch it. If i turn the knob on top to where it does turn red, then it wont go back to blue. Im only having this problem with the left side, right side works perfect. What do you suggest i do? thanks so much.

My right jog wheel was slippin a bit when I was in scratch mode. I watched your video and took it apart to give it some cleaning. I can no longer scratch at all now. The wheel still turns red when I touch it and stops the track from playing, but can not scratch at all. The side of the platter no longer works for speeding up or slowing down the track either. Any ideas?
