Nice review! Couple things I noticed though and would like to help clarify. You missed the pitch depth buttons next to the slider, which give the ability to pitch STUPID DEEP. The half/double buttons on the autoloop WILL work when using a hot cue that's armed in a loop as well as autoloop. Also, the print near the headphone jack confused me too, it's not headphone adjustment, it's the up-fader curve ;) Great little piece when it works right!

great review! You didnt mention the pitch depth buttons beside the fader. they make a HUGE difference in mixing, basically allows you to pitch wayyyyyy down and way up. i didnt know about them for months and i always thought the Vestax lacked a nice long pitch fader.. but now i know u dont need one with the little pitch buttons :)

No, this is just a controller for DJ software. To make dubstep you need a DAW. Hardware is just a nice plus.

I'm having issues with my Macbook Pro 15" same generation as the one in this video. It won't recognize that the hardware is plugged in and the unit does not even power up. How did you get yours to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the video, I found a vci 300mk2 at guitar center for a steal of a price of 149.00. had been looking for something to replace my mixtrack pro with. It's on hold for now. Put money down on it because it was such a great deal. Box never been open, it was the last one. I use it for small set ups that I need to like a second wedding system for outside like I did a couple weeks ago. Can't wait to get it next week sot that I can put it to work.

I'll be trading in the mixtrack pro to finish paying for the VCI 300mk2. Don't get me wrong, the mixtrack pro is a great controller but I wanted something a bit more professional to go with my serato dj. I normally use the numark 4trak that runs traktor, but I'm also learning to use serato dj.

Hey I know this is 10 years after you posted this video, but hoping you can answer a question! I bought one of these recently off a friend, fired it up in Serato DJ Pro and works. My question is- how do I preview a track through the headphones? This seems so basic, however I can only seem to hear either both, or neither track based on the "monitor select" knob at the top. Hoping you're well! Thanks for the tutorial.

Hey I’m having a problem with my right pitch knob. It’s shows green when it is at -3% can somone help so it can be at 0 with the green light

I no longer own the unit and it’s pretty vintage now. There maybe some documents to support trouble shooting on google. Good luck.

+josmara garces press PFL B or PFL A to monitor your channels in the headphones... remember to set monitor select to cue!

sync just matches the bpm o_O. You still need skill to mix regardless....it doesn't make you a noob. Tsk!

@Omar7411 NO. get a traktor S4. i had this, and i was dissapointed. trust me.

No disrespect but it kills me when you say "the auto sync button is the devil & don't use it", but in the same breathe you say that you're fond of cue points/auto loops & wish that they had five cue point buttons. What's the difference! Using auto loops & cue points means that you have "NO SKILLS" RIGHT! I can do all of that stuff on vinyl without those buttons BUT since technology has advanced I use whatevers available to me&+ I paid 4 it So since I use the features I guess I have NO SKILLS.SMH
