Thank you for posting this. I have the same problem now on a Renault trafic lwb 1.6 diesel. Can I ask if you had any problems after getting this fixed? Have you had any other problems with the van at all ? I had to have a new ECU unit last year. A new EGR valve fitted and the boost pressure sensor fitted van is a nightmare lol. Time to get rid I think.

I think that's very bad. I've heard some bad stories about these vans, they seem to just fall apart after a few years and not that many miles on the clock.

Thanks for this. Fellow plumber here and the same thing just happened to me, my heart stopped for second when the light came on. Checked my reservoir and it still had water, opened the bleed though and the reservoir cap and it swallowed it all. Sadly I dont have any water with me so now sat waiting on a county lane for the engine to cool so I can drive to the shop for some water 😒

Check for leaks on the hose it rubs on the radiator and leaks Don’t drive with the lights on it will destroy the engine

@@PlumberOntheJob I left the van 40 minutes, switched back on and the light had cleared, luckily there was a shop a couple miles up road. Used 4 litres to fill up coolant and just got to my job. It's going into the mechanics tomorrow to have a check, I have a third party warranty so hoping it wont cost me anything.

@PhillipGregoryMusic mine was a hole in the radiator caused by stone damage. My mechanic said its quite common on them as the grille offers little protection.

As you’re stood with the Bonnet up in front of the van it’s on the left hand side the top one following all the way round Looks like a Stanley knife cuts but it’s rubbing against a piece of metal Good luck buddy

Update regarding my engine failure hazard, I'm now taking vauxhall to court as they have refused to replaced the engine. My van has been at their dealerships 7 times and still there as I'm refusing to take it. 1st it had a new dpf then, 3 times it had its DPF regeneration as they said I need to drive it "properly", o2 sensor replaced and the latest new turbo and still the issue keeps reoccurring after leaving the garage. To anyone thinking about vauxhall vans, don't bother, spend that extra money on VW vans.

Very true, got exactly the same problem, they never got to the bottom of my issue and now out of warranty they don’t want to know. Now been off the road for over a year still trying find someone who can fix it. Complete nightmare of a van with nothing but problems.

thanks for that info, I was looking into buying a mid size van. Renault and Peugeot have well designed vans. But looking at all the troubles you guys get after few years of ownership I'll go with Toyota.

I have a problem with rounalt cleo 2013 it say engern fuiler stop and the water came back to the bottle and is a petrol

Got the same fault on my Renault Master.

This message come on for me just now at 57k along with check Anit pollution system and check injection and check stop start. Can feel big power loss at time

I've now got the same problems as u bud. Changed the anti pollution sensor and the little pipe still big power loss.

@@markg6698 did u managed to get it sorted have same problem changed the fuel rail sensor still same issue , changed the ecu worked for 20 min then same issue really don’t know what else to change

@@markg6698 I got mine sorted so was actually the high pressure fuel pump going into limp mode also it draws a lot of current which in turn shorted out my ecu so new ecu and fuel pump . Yours does sound like a faulty injector with just that message being displayed

Upgrade pipe radiator once out of warranty

Just paid out on a new engine on my 2016 Vivaro..£5700 for the engine...£230 clutch...£400 new fly wheel ..£80 shock absorber..and two new coil springs.. warrenty paid £2000 i paid £9700...im still crying... only had it 5 months.. Renault Traffic before i owned for one week when over heated sent van back to garage they said too expensive to fix so refunded my money...oh well... Vivaro now drives like a new van..so happy now but also a bit pissed off.

Would of crashed it into a tree wrote it off my old Renault timing belt snapped got rebuild was never the same
