Hi. I'd like to add one great feature. Great waterproofing! I have a 2006-12 silver (same as yours) 5 door SE 1.3 CDTI and two months ago I stupidly drove it through about 3 feet of water, the water was coming up over the bonnet and up the windscreen!. I got through it and the car felt fine. It's as if it never happened. No leaks, no nothing!

We've had a few corsa, love them

I've got this too same SXi variant, but opted for the 1.3 Diesel (which in my opinion is great). Lucky to get mine with a few optional extras: anti-dazzle rearview mirror, bluetooth, sat nav, cruise control, auto-wiper, auto-lights etc. 100% agree with the negatives: - At first thought I'd left a back window open because it was so noisy but no just a lot of tyre rumble and external noise gets into the cabin. - Seats are very firm, not overly comfortable for long journeys. - Drove the new shape Astra for many years and I'd recommend that over the Corsa any day.

I bought a 2013 1.4SXi from Lookers Car supermarket last year and they supplied mats, good job Lookers!

At the very least having spent so much on a car you would of thought for the price of mats and something so very important to protect the carpets you would expect all dealers to follow suit, no my dealer unfortunately, if I am every to purchase a car there again I`ll demand a set of mats! lol

I am going to test drive one the same as this tomorrow,a 2013

Just an update that I had the small ding repaired, cost me £60 which is a little on the expensive side but the guy done a really great job and its now impossible to see where the dent was.

I am wondering how many are using the boot liner or the mudflaps you can purchase from Vauxhall for these cars, if so do you highly recommend them???

mate i just brought a corsa they gave me mats i said i dont want the car, i was just being suborn they provided me with all 4 mats

Picked my corsa up tonight & drove home,about 20 miles,absolutely love the car,very comfortable to drive after the nissan pixo.

hey its 3 years now still feel the same abou youe car.

My last car was a 2011 corsa, I can't believe that for the UK market they didn't swap the fuse box to another location and kept it where the glove box is, totally ridiculous, I pretty much never had anything in there because of it.

Does the car have a spare wheel? I can't be doing with this foam repair kit.

The tyre noise is all down to what tyres are on it and how they have worn. I have Pirelli on mine and they are fairly quiet, there isn't much more tyre noise than my old Audi which had fairly quiet tyre noise

Great review first of all, and a great choice of car !! Watching your video i think you missed some of the great selling points of the car. 1st is this car has cruise control, 2nd the multi function trip computer operated on the wiper stalk, 3rd yes the glovebox is useless but you have the under seat storage tray on the passenger front side. Also this car is now 10 years old in design and is still selling like hot cakes. Enjoy your Corsa Sxi and cheers for sharing your review.

Went out today for a round trip in the countryside of about 150 miles to test out the mpg & it worked out i am getting about 53 MPG. It will differ depending upon the terrain you travel i suppose but anything over 50 MPG i am very happy with that.(:

I have been looking around for aftermarket accessories, so far I have some pretty nice mats front and back for just £25, I have just ordered some sill protectors also that come in polished stainless steel with the letters SXI engraved on them! will post another video when I have receive them, if anyone else has purchased a nice accessory please let me know! thanks mrix

You prob drive an Audi now lol but I have the 2014 1.4 sri 3 door & bought a arm rest that fits in the bottle holder behind the hand break (still to fit it though) and like you say - im buyin mats that go with red & black interior. Also going to buy wind deflectors. Last car was a Volvo c 30 1.6 R design and you could say I miss it and is beyond me why they stopped makin them.. best car I've had!

Frankly, you can't expect a car with 83BHP weighing 1135KG to be anything other than underpowered. I own a Corsa C 1.2, which is slightly quicker than the D. It's only down to the fact it weighs less. Anyway, happy motoring my Corsa friends!

Update,i had a test drive & i pick my 2013 plate,(so one year old) on tuesday night,love the car.

mrix Hi,it was a main vauxhall dealer,i am getting the car from & the price is £7862 less my trade in,on top of that there is £99 admin fee £20 for some petrol,£110 for a year,s road tax,pick the car up tuesday about 5pm,the car is 9 months old,very happy.

+James Bingham Very late but valuable info for the future, the £99 admin fee is basically a HPI check they do before they sell you the car(not before they sell but when you buy it to show its clear) you can do it yourself for £5. So when you go for a car in the future and they want to charge you the £99 admin fee tell them you refuse to pay it and if they say its compulsory say you will walk and not buy the car they will redact it. There is a competition within the offices between the salesmen as to how many admin fees they can rank up a month.

Hello Zdeno, its most definitely under powered, in hindsight of would of purchased a 1.4, you really do need that little bit more oomph! in certain driving situations and when overtaking etc.

i have a corsa of 2010 the 111 edition. im definitely happy about it but the worst thing ist that it is a slow car. have not too much PS.

We are just about to buy one of these and this has been really helpful. We have an 8 month old daughter and are going to be using the isofix base for her car seat. The seats in our current car are too spongy to be particularly safe for her seat. You mentioned that the passenger seats were uncomfortable. Is this because they are too firm (as this would actually be a plus for us!) Thank you in advance!

+mrix Hi i dont as a rule post messages to uploaders but i am looking to buy a corsa and came across the same issue as you no door guards. Found a product on ebay you may want to look at paste "Vauxhall Corsa D 5D Rubbing Strips" I dont know what they are like but figure if you are still looking for a solution i would pass the information on.

+Charlie Elliott You can turn off the passenger side airbag when you have a child seat on that side. The button bellow the hazard button. :)

The lack of mats is not the car's fault, but the company you bought it from.

mrix I have to agree. Last year, I bought a second-hand Ford Mondeo and at the dealership/service shop I had the option toate have rubber or textile mats with rubber underside. The textile ones are brilliant. One question If I may. Does It have an on-board computer that shows info like actual consumption, average consumption, trip distance, average Speed and the likes? Also, does it have cruise control.

Just managed to put a little ding in the drivers side door when opening hitting the wing mirror of the car parked next to me! so very annoying being a new car so have just contacted a couple of companies to see how much for repair??? will keep you updated on outcome and price etc, its not something I will likely worry about when the car ages a little but at the moment its staring me in the face every time I enter the vehicle!!!!

James Bingham Hi James, if it had been my old Vectra I would not of had a second thought but as the car is do new its very annoying as I am sure you can imagine, there is no paint loss or scratch so I am hoping they have some special system fro pulling the little ding out. thanks mrix

James Bingham Tried so many different ways to pull the very small dent with no joy, I am now cautiously tempted to remove the door panel and push it out, lot of messing around for such a small dent mind! see if I still feel the same way in a few weeks.

My Corsa d 1.2 active has done only twelve thousand miles from new and has already failed its mot test on suspension problems, this car looks the part but that's it.

Its probably the previous driver not slowing down for speed bumps and potholes, any car will have suspension problems doing this. My sons seat Leon is 3 year oid and has leaking shocks

I had voxell corsa I had jus problem .naw I'm happy with my mercedez Benz Germany car they are very strong I got it for 6 years no problem you get what you pay .

Does anybody know if this car has any internal faults? is it reliable? and this sxi version whats the Bhp and 0-60 figures? Also what group of insurance is this sxi version. Hi Haroon, Vauxhall have always been reliable for me, I had my Vectra for 10 years and it never failed to start! reliability is not something I personally worry about with a Vauxhall, if you purchase a new car I think they give you a 100,000 mile warranty so its great peace of mind. The SXI especially the 1.2 5 door is most definitely underpowered, Personally I wish I had gone for something with a little more oomph! The Corsa SXI is a lovely little motor but it does need that slightly more powerful engine, well more powerful than a 1.2. Not noticed any internal faults to date.

Thanks, I been looking at the 1.2 16v Life trim, and checked the stats with 80bhp and does 0-60 in 13 seconds. I think for me this would be just right! Whats the BHP for your sxi? and 0-60 stats

Haroon Bilimoria Hi Harroon, BHP = 73 bhp and 0-60 = 11.6 secs, that does not sound so bad but for a 5 dr it is most definitely underpowered, around town and short journeys its not noticable but on motorways and slopes you really do need that extra power, overtaking is dreadful.

10 people are telling me its an Astra. buts its a corsa

its only got a basic stereo and dosen't have bluetooth or DAB radio. I bought a touch screen Pumkin android 10 Media system from Ebay its piano black same as the dash and looks factory fitted.

Look who it is! Hello Shane, there are 6 speakers in total dotted about the car, the sound system seems fine to me, I like the option to allow use of an ipod or iphone by a simple jack plug, have no idea what the speakers are or what wattage etc.

Just come across this vid and I think the bad point about the Corsa is the under power. I don't feel confident in overtaking. Especially on the motorway. However, good points. Great on petrol,insurance, tax and parts. Has anyone seen the body kits for these great little cars? Wow cheap as hell yet looks cool.

Buy a LH drive car when you want a larger glove box... ;-)

I can tell you've not had the car long from this review! Compared to your vectra 2.2 it may well be great on fuel, but you will not see anything like 50mpg day to day like the brochure figures suggest. 38mpg is what I've been getting on avarage, and you have to be very patient to get that because the engine is gaspingly underpowered and needs 4000rpm on the dial to get the car up any kind of hill! I also find the gearbox to be rather clunky and stiff. I would not recommend this car, the 1.3cdti is both much better for economy and drive ability and actually seems to be quieter than the petrol too cos you dont have to rev it so hard to get it to move.

Probably depends on the model you choose. The Fiesta Titanium and Zetec models have the heated front screen which is great, Titanium also has parking sensors and other features, but then it is the priciest, If you can only afford a lower spec Fiesta, either are good.

Em C Tom, yes it is!!! I have a 3 door 13" Corsa SXI 1.2. A few weeks ago i had a courtesy 64 P 1 LTR fiesta Ecoboost which is 20 times better! felt quicker, more solid and better to drive. Didn't want to give it back!

mine 1.2 SXI is fine, i dont need to "Rev it to the moon"😃even with 4 passengers, it gets along nicley, Don't need to speed or waste fuel.

Nice review but the constant "um" and "ah" every 5 seconds for the whole video is too off putting.
