Yes, and other legendary late-90's happy tunes like "My own Worst Enemy" (Lit) and "Ex-girlfriend" (No Doubt).
I heard this song on the radio while I was working out back in August of 2000 . That same day I ran to the music store and bought the CD I listen to Vast religiously and Free is my favorite song from the group and is my favorite song of all-time 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉😂❤
Massively underrated. Tried to introduce VAST to some old friends over 10 years ago and they didnt appreciate it. Here I am at 33 YO wondering why still.

This song is okay but nothing special however the singer is clearly talented. I had a memory of how unusual this video and song was (in terms of atmosphere and the quality of the singing). So I researched the band on YT for the first time about a month ago, and heard songs like "Here", "Pretty when you cry" and "I'm Dying". Now I can't stop listening to them. He was clearly ahead of his time. Did you show you friends those songs?

I remember seeing the video for the song in the early 2000's, but couldn't remember which band did the song. Until now. I couldn't remember the title either. I'm so glad I found it!
2002, 7th grade, watching this on MTVX on a stormy day after school. I can still go there when I hear certain nostalgic music.
I was 14ish and had insomnia, one night I put on some MTV2 and it was just on this show and they played this video and I was hooked. I hear it in movies and ads now and it's like, literally haunting.

This was the closest to metal that Jon/Vast did. Produced by Rob Graves. Was definitely expecting more hard metal styles from Vast to balance out there other brilliant melodic tracks.

Love this song but It sounds like he's singing "You try and tell me what to do anymore" instead of "You CANT tell me what to do anymore" which I personally prefer...as far as lyrics go. Am I just hearing it wrong? Great song none the less.

Lol early 2000s late 90s were a weird time fashion was horrible mainstream rock was this gimmick agro metal. This isn't that but you can tell it was slightly influenced by what was popular at that time

I hope the spiders spun the band some new threads. Nevertheless, good sounds. Just lose the purple hooker jacket. Stupid record labels. Jeans ( Levis ) and a white t-shirt. That's all you need unless it's cool again to look like a throwback to the laughable 80's pop bands. Just sayin. Props though , the music is good.
