Varus and the Battle of Teutoburg Forest - Pixel History

Romans really loved people who could get things done. Varus was not one of those people. At all.

"Varus, oh, Quinctilus Varus, give me back my legions!" Man, this was absolutely brilliant. I love the use of pixel art - it's not only beautiful but very entertaining to watch so love it. Makes the whole of history a sort of retro game. The research, script and voice is also very high quality. Your mic quality is great for such a small channel, which is great because it's crucial. My only critique would be that you mumble your words sometimes which makes it hard to understand you. Also, you need to add tags but especially, put more in your description since it's crucial for the KZread SEO. I like doing a summary of my video using my script, for example. I can't imagine how long this video must have taken you. May I ask what software you used? Keep it up. This is absolutely brilliant for such a small channel.

Thank you so much! That's some very valuable feedback right there! I'm certainly not surprised to hear about the mumbling, as that has always been a bit of a speech characteristic that I've struggled with. I will certainly try to work on it in front of the mic though! And as for tags and descriptions, that's a very helpful tip as well! I'm fairly new to this whole KZread thing so it can be a little overwhelming to figure out the best strategies for everything, but I will be sure to start including those in any future videos as well! The main programs I used are RPG Maker with a fair amount of editing in both Premiere and Photoshop. The former is normally not used for videos as it's a videogame editing program, but I simply liked the idea of combining my love for (old) games and history!

@@Hipstorian I understand. It's hard to get the audio and narration right, it's something I'm still struggling with a lot but it'll come with time. I'm fairly new to KZread too but I'll be happy to help you out as much as I can if you need anything. I strongly recommend you check out /r/NewTuber. It really helped me start out, and still does. I think your content is high quality and original enough to discern yourself from the others. Very creative of you of using that software to give the effect. It looks splendid and frankly, I love it. I love it when people find creative solutions like that. Keep it up man! I look forward to more.
