Variations On A Theme: Vol. 2 of TV Series Closing Music (1950s, '60s & '70s)

Note: It was pointed out that I repeat a couple of themes from Vol. 1. My apologies.
The end credits of television shows were often either slightly different variations of the opening themes or completely different musically (such as Fireball XL5 and the second season of The Monkees). Sometimes the music was the same but the endings had different graphics. I found over 150 closings with significant differences from the openers and packed them into four volumes plus a bonus volume, although several (The Rifleman, Leave It to Beaver and Thunderbirds, to name a few) were NOT allowed by the KZread copyright cops. Still, you'll be able to enjoy nearly 2.5 hours of wonderful music in the five volumes. They don't make 'em like these anymore. And be sure to look for the numerous guest stars listed in the credits!

Nice job again, Fred! 0:47 - I'm glad you posted closing credits from both versions of the show. In a way, it was said to have replaced itself as a mid-season replacement for the 2nd Season. 3:40 - RIP to Jimmie Dodd, Karen Pendleton, & Annette Funicello, along w/ many others not seen here. 11:05 - I watched Johnny Carson's 17th Anniversary live on Oct. 1, 1979, the first that NBC carried in primetime. He had lots of fun w/ pies & shaving cream. I was a big fan of Carson starting w/ this show and for many years after. 13:37 - This is from Part 1 of "The Judgment" (OAD 08/22/1967). The one-armed man killed Michael Constantine's character before Part 2, and J.D Cannon (not listed here) didn't appear until Part 2. 15:20 - Even though UNDERDOG was on NBC for years, I don't remember seeing it until its last season on NBC Saturday mornings, 1972-73. I also loved NBC cartoons ROMAN HOLIDAYS and THE BARKLEYS that season. 15:55 - The earliest PM reruns from Season 1 often had a bonus for fans, images of Purex (the sponsor) products, including now-obsolete products like "Beads 'O Bleach" and "Dutch Cleanser". I recently read that CBS affiliates in areas that didn't carry Purex products didn't get to see the show because Purex didn't want to pay to advertise where consumers couldn't buy the products. 17:35 - I love this POLICE STORY theme. I think this was the POLICE WOMAN pilot, since Ed Bernard & Charles Dierkop are listed w/ their POLICE WOMAN character names. 18:05 - Jerry Lewis on BEN CASEY? Either he was playing a dramatic role, which he did at times, or he added comic amusement. 19:15 - Ralph Senensky, who was Assistant to the Producer, eventually got into directing movies & tv shows. He just turned 100 years old last month, so happy birthday to him! 26:15 - Nice progression from DANNY THOMAS SHOW to ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, MAYBERRY R.F.D, and GOMER PYLE USMC, then following with the 3 Paul Henning sitcoms. All these shows were swept away no later than fall 1971.

Fantastic job, Fred! There is one thing, the ending theme of Underdog is actually an amalgamation of two closing credits (Underdog & Tennessee Tuxedo) but with a different theme that was used for syndication to actually combine the two shows. The actual closing theme for Underdog was a variation of the theme song. (Yes I was old enough to remember when that series originally appeared on NBC in the mid 60's...LOL)
