When the doctor kisses Vanya on the head...makes me cry every time.

This film is really a great lesson of theatre and a splendid interpretation of Vanya!

i can't watch or read this scene without choking up

For sure. Plus indicating with voice & gesture can work on stage but not on camera. Gotta internalize it & live it for it to work on camera.

but on stage this stillness and subtleness unfortunately not gonna work,so that's why on camera acting >theatre acting
