The part of the wild Atlantic Way that I love the most is actually the part that you didn’t do! (sorry that’s not a criticism - you have miles to do and can’t do it all!) Definitely include it the next time - County Donegal is spectacular in my opinion. My favourite beaches would be Stroove, Kinnego Bay, Culdaff, Marblehill, Magheraroarty, Carrickfinn. There’s loads more. I also think there’s more of NI to explore in the counties you didn’t visit - Counties Down, Armagh, Tyrone and Fermanagh. I look forward to your videos down the rest of the WAW!

@@stitchingbythesea1965 You are so right, so much to see you are just scratching the surface with 4 weeks, it would take months to do it justice, but the same can be said for Scotland.

As noted by others you have missed the best part of the WAW IMHO. But then I am biased as I have a holiday home on that section of it. You could have even parked up for free with spectacular sea views from our driveway. Next time maybe. Not sure if you were told this bit of trivia but the road sign for the Wild Atlantic Way is based on the initial first letter of each word linked together ie WAW

As someone commented before you have missed almost all the coastline of Donegal. Like so many you have crossed the border from Derry, then headed through Letterkenny, then down towards Donegal town, missing out the Rosses area and Bloodyforeland, some of the best coastline on the WAW. But in some sense it makes me smile because then we get the roads to ourselves. Lol. Slieve League is awesome and never used to cost anything for parking right were you bought the ice cream. I rode straight up on my motorcycle. They are the tallest cliffs in Europe and everyone else thinks it's the cliffs of Moher that are. If you intend visiting them the cost would be 12 euro per person, so park in Doolin car park and you will access the cliff path for free. I completed the whole WAW from Kinsale on June this year on my motorbike, finishing at our home in Donegal, I have a 9 part video series on my channel. Achil island is a must see as well as Keem bay. If you go to Keem bay you can only take your motorhome so far, but a short walk then to a stunning beach. The Sky Road at Cliffden is another must see. The Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry a must also. I'm glad I done it on a motorcycle instead of our campervan as some of the roads I travelled on were single track and twisty and I got the smells and fresh air. Good luck and enjoy. ☘👍

I agree, Donegal believe it or not Donegal actually has the best coastline on the wild Atlantic way so you do need to come back and check it out. Also a night in Derry is a good wee night, nice food and pubs.

I would highly recommend you go to the Killarney National Park and especially the Gap of Dunloe. Will you be bringing a book out about the WAW? Hope so as we will hopefully getting a van soon and the WAW is first on our bucket list. Looking forward to being virtual travelers with you on your adventure. Best wishes😀

@@highlands2hammocks - Explore the world of the Burren and as you travel south on the WWW, the Muck-Ross House is great to see, and a stop in Castletownsend is worth your while. If you get tired of eating your own cooking, stop and see Maryanne's in town, she's a three-star Michlin chef owning and running the pub. The food is outstanding and well within reason. Don't miss the Drombeg Circle while in the south of Ireland. Top of our list is Drombeg Stone Circle, located in County Cork and known locally as the Druid’s Altar. It is one of Ireland’s most visited megalithic sites and is protected under the National Monuments Act. The circle consists of seventeen sandstone pillar stones, each at a height of about 2 meters. The midpoint of one of the stones is set in line with the winter solstice sunset viewed in a conspicuous notch in the distant hills.
